No. We're getting more like the borg every day BECAUSE of the world leaders, who are using economics and legislation to turn us into their drones. With them gone, we would be free. Free to be individuals again. 

so we need Data to come along and tell us all to go into maintenance sleep.

DW7 has failed to inspire. and most members still lack next gen consoles. Wii doesn't count either. :P

also i believe about 90% of our membership have entered the 'comming of age' phase in their life. so they're buzy trying to make ends meet and decide whether or not college is a good idea or not. - i'm just guessing though. 

i've been playing Dragon Age Origins and trying to get over being burned out on life. :D

so as far as STNG goes harden, you obviously despise Wesley Crusher. what do you think of his mother, Beverly?

unrelated: i discovered through some quick research that Wesley and I... well, Wil Wheaton and I are the same age. well, technically he's about 6 months older than i am. 

yeah, she was trying to play a McCoy type character - the replacement that is. 

there is a lot of idealism in STNG. sometimes that alone is irritating about the show. then again later writers seem to have gotten away from that. the first two seasons were quite idealistic.

some of my favorite STNG episodes have the crushers in them however. Remember Me as well as Cause and Effect. well, the latter only has the mom in it.

worst favorite season of Star Trek TNG. 

so far 7 seems pretty rough

i'm thinking 6 has the best episodes - except for the last one which starts season 7

well, there were definitely some much better episodes in Season 7. i just think they had a string of amateur writers there for a while during the first part of the season. 

season 1 and 2 of TNG definitely smack of the original star trek. however, i think TNG went a little or even a lot further with some of the content that made it more interesting. the LAST episode of the series is very good.
