Thought it would be interesting to find out, what was your first union? Or maybe your first few unions even, since you may not be able to remember your actual first union.

My first union was The Elder Scrolls Fan Union. I think several people here remember it. I joined it within a week of becoming a member of Gamespot and at the time the union was barely 1-2 weeks old itself so I had the pleasure of getting to see it grow from a union that had under 100 members to becoming the goliath TES union it eventually became.I stuck with TESFU exclusively for most of my first year in GS and stuck with it even when it went off-site.

I joined my first union as an officer back in 2005 (a user PMed me about it, wanting me to help him form it). It didn't last too long, and shortly after, I joined the Budokai Union and Super Sayians United. I would eventually become the last leader of the Budokai Union, and an officer of Super Sayians United (in which, SSU was the union that I served as an officer in for the longest amount of time of any other unions I was a member of). The three unions were all about Dragon Ball Z, and they now no longer exist, unfortunately. :(

Same here. My second union was probably the UGU a few weeks later of which I was a charter member.

I can't really remember the order of the next few unions that I joined, however I do recall joining the Triple A union sometime early in my GS career.

I seriously don't know. I resigned a bunch of my early unions at the same time.

The first union I was in was two and a half years ago I joined gamespot and immedeatly joined the Pokemon Champions Union, and boy was it a union back in its Prime. It was also the first union I became an Officer in. I dont quite remember my next few unions as I believe they werent anything too special, I remember fairly early on I joined the Metroid Gamer Hangout and It had an Epic Forum RPG.

To my knowledge, I believe the first union I joined was NASCAR Nation. The union has been slow for all of the time that I've spent in it, but it has never quite petered out, so I've remained in it. I probably joined about twenty unions in two days without realizing the majority of them were dead, and today I only remain in three of them (one of which I hold leadership, in fact).

Ranked up.

I got an invitation from the leader, Syrinx61. She saw me hanging around one of the Castlevania official game forums on GS, and I figured sure, why the hell not? So I accepted, and over the course of the last like five years, I've risen through the ranks as an officer, and then eventually into leadership. I actually kinda share the position with Chang_1910, my senior officer. If one of us has a lot of life obligations and is too swamped to lead, we promote the other. Since I'm currently unemployed, I've had a good long run at leading.

Some of my firsts include:

The Elder Scrolls Fan Union, The Sony Extravaganza Union (I had a Sony TV and thats about it :P), Ultim@te G@miNg Uni0n, The Artist's Canvas, The Story of War Union, MetaCreators, The Union Leader Council, Fellowship of the Multiplatform Gamers, The Consoles Debate Union, in no particular order. There are probably other ones that I have forgotten about tbh.

I can't recall the name, but I believe it was a Resident Evil union crossed with Final Fantasy. Or was that Zelda? I joined it after I saw a thread advertising it in the union recruitment board.

Looking back, I thought I was a really big idiot back then. I was a tad too interested in becoming a moderator, so I began policing that union like you wouldn't believe. I actually think that the union leader demoted me a few times and the other members began to revolt against me...Ah, good times :P.

I can't remember the next few unions that I joined with, but I tended to stick with the same general people when I was just starting out here. Club Whatever was a union that I spent a lot of time with, but I did mostly the same thing as I did with the first one so I didn't have that great of a time there either.

All-Out Nintendo. First one I joined, I've managed to work my way up through the ranks and even become leader for a while. Not my first active one though, I didn't even visit it for months, I started with somewhat smaller places first (the Super Mario Bros. union, the Playback union, etc.).

My first union was The Cafe Lounge union. Before that invitation, I thought that all unions were old and dead.

By the way, is it possible to change Gamespot's theme when I visit the union pages? I like Gamespot's newer theme, yet the Union pages always show the older theme :(

The new layout hasn't been applied on the unions.

Personally, I hope it doesn't get applied anytime soon. I use the white theme, and I much prefer how it looked with the old GS than after the update. Unions are a bit of an escape from that. It's a bit of a double edged sword though, since if union updates are ever going to happen the new theme will likely be incorperated into unions as well.

You can use the white theme in both, though.

I do use the white theme on both, but as many complain, outside of unions the white theme on GameSpot is much too bright. I would prefer to switch to the dark theme if it weren't for the fact the text colour changes to white, and I'd personally just rather put up with the new white theme. Changing the theme would also change how unions appear, which is another reason I'm sticking with the white theme.
