Yeah they managed to do quite well as an invite-only union. Although in the current climate they have had to to change policy as you say as activity has declined.
HYPE is some sort of exclusive System Wars alternative. I don't know anything about it beyond that. Yeah, it's bee a long time since I've been around any of the old unions. They're all pretty dead.
