When I was gone for a month, I had more than 100 messages unread in my inbox and I still have not read them all.
I always read my pms in my inbox, but I never erase them. Since I joined gamespot, i never had erase any kind of pm in my pm box. I just read them, answer if i need to and close the page
I only read the titles of most PMs and if it sounds like it's asking me something or it interests me then I open it. Half the time for me it's just automatic PMs, and I just haven't deleted them. One day I'm just gonna delete all my PMs and start over, once I hit like 1000 PMs unread.
i keep all my PM's till Gamespot glitches and always says i have 1 unread messege then im forced to delete everything in my inbox because i dont want that annoyance but that only happens once every few months

What's it do? Just send you a PM whenever there's a new post in some thread? If so then that would be very annoying unless you're purposely trying to get a lot of PMs.

I always empty my inbox, but I think for laughs I'll start keeping them so I have something to look back on.
Yea and users don't seem to find a point to sending PM's to someone they know won't read them. Still tho if I get bored I'll send my self a few >_>fastesttruck

Well, I haven't deleted any messages since January of 2007...so I've had a bit of time to accumulate them. :P Though I still don't know how I ended up getting my first 1000 unread in less than a year...

I used to, but then I'd get lazy and end up with like 50, and then after I left, I came back to this amount. :x

I read all of the personal ones. The only ones I don't read are union invites and union telegrams. :P I also read the personal PMs. It's a lot of the automatic telegrams that I don't bother deleting or opening.
