I could had gotten the 20GB PS3 at launch but I wouldn't had enough in the long run when it comes to games so I had to drop it, not to mention how terrible the PS3 launch was, heck Xbox 360's was way, way better.

i didn't plan on getting anything next gen at that point. I wanted a ps3, but 1200 which it did cost back when i wanted to buy it was just too much. So my brother bought the 360 

hell yeah... I don't know if i would be able to afford any games for it

It is more wise to wait and see some reviews and gameplay 

I rarely read over whole reviews of games before I buy them myself. But most games I buy are games I safely assume that I would like.TAMKFan

I do usually. I tend to get them earliest a week after release. The only games i really got in the launch week this year is Tomb Raider. It's my GOTY and i don't regret it 

It's not very often that I get games in the first week they come out.TAMKFan

i think it's wiser, besides you can get it cheaper and dlc when you buy it at a later point. So it's a win-win.  

the console war is pretty close right now. thought the title of this thread is no longer accurate since the new xbox is outselling the other 2 consoles.

I got Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze the day after it came out and overall, I enjoyed it more than Donkey Kong Country Returns. I liked Dixie as a secondary character.

Woah, huge news with the Xbox One, no Kinect and no paywall and games for gold is now the same as PS+

I got Mario Kart 8 on release day, and it's probably my favorite Mario Kart game yet.

I really want a Wii U just because of that game
