In my opinion it was a bit of a bad move in the sense that the shared boards were actually pretty active thanks to gamefaqs. I just checked out the Diablo 3 board and it's dead, which is a shock since the game is so hyped and coming out soon.
That part is true, I randomly got two gamefaqs moderations for making a comment one time in the shared boards. Those two moderations were for the same post too...

I hope they will. I third that sentiment. The game boards have some real potential to go over bigger in my opinion.
I think it's just that the new boards aren't too well known yet. It would have been better had they just made these new boards years ago, which they should have done.
I'm glad GameFaqs are now separated from this site, if you ask me, Gamefaqs have a more hostile community and a more corrupt moderation system than this place does.

Funny thing is that whenever I check a game specific board, I still prefer using the gamefaqs board rather than the GS one. The GS one straight out sucks and is always dead.

I actually enjoyed the shared boards, they were enjoyable to use when you were heavily interested in a game. I didn't mind that either, but I'm not on there anymore.=p
Oh well I just got on through GS and posted in the shared boards. Are you still able to post on the gamefaqs version of the boards through gamespot or is it impossible? The whole setup they have is a little confusing with how they have two versions of the board now.
