I'm now using Vista Home. It's a little annoying cause I'm not able to run some older stuff on it but overall it's a pretty decent system (after every update it's getting even better). When I'll be able to afford the costs I'll buy myself a Win7.

I'm afraid that Win8 would eat my RAM for breakfast, also I think Win7 would be enough for me.

My comp is like 6 years old. The time it was bought it was awesome. Nowadays it still works great and runs most games (on low, but they are running), but I'm sure 3gigs of ram aren't enough for Win8.

Maybe later. For now my budget restricts me a little so I can't afford anything newer.

Really like Win7 and probably won't upgrade to Win8 when it comes out (beta tested and I wasn't really a fan). Have Ubuntu 12.04 on another computer, but I haven't really messed around enough to figure out the ins-and-outs of it yet.

F*** PC overkill shenanigans, you shouldn't even need more than like 4 GB RAM anyway, it's more about processing than RAM.

Just saying. :3

Why have such a limit I wonder, other than the one imposed by a 32bit or 64 bit system??? And I often use 3GB just having my web browser up with a few tabs.

But here's the thing: 32bit will die more and more RAM will be used often when it comes to OSs, games and programs so I can see that happening. BF3 for example uses over 4GB!

6.05GB being used here currently!

Oh ok, and it's technically not even though benchmarks show it performs better with more than 4GB as it gets too close to 4GB on average, people seen it over 3.5GB.

Windows 7, then Windows XP, then Windows '98. However, OSX (2011 version, don't know the actual term) isn't too bad.

OSX isn't that bad, however it does have its limitations. Apparently, Windows 8 is supposed to be really good. My roommate has it already for developing and claims it's the best OS ever.

I've only ever used Windows. The version of Windows I have is Vista, which I've heard is actually one of the worst versions of Windows. I'm not sure when I'll switch to a different version.

Its a tablet operating system and completely useless if you're not using a tablet.
