i am getting a new Laptop on Black Friday if i have the money?jediknight52501
Save up early.=O
Ah just as I thought. The problem with my OCing was my ram. I suggested either OCing my ram or getting a new stick 8 gigs 1600 I OC'ed my ram earlier to 1600 via bios (without changing anything else), but my timings went to 11,11,11, 29 I read that those timings are loose. I talked to tabby he said to keep those timings but put the ram back to 1333. So I changed them in bios and OC'ed my cpu I have no problems OC'ing via bios now. My computer can be shut off and boots just fine after that. idk if I should get a new stick or not. 2ndWonder

Just did a benchmark old benchmark score, firestrike: 5172 - 2ndWonder - http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/850827 - Phenom II X4 965(4.0) - 7870(1150) - 1333 RAM http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/893671 5207, and my cpu isn't even at 4.0 with this. I'm aiming to pass the guy with 2 570's, just 30 points to go.

Whatever gives a big reason to move from a 580, basically.  I'd love more vram, but other than that limitation, this card is still a fvcking beast.  Don't want to spend hundreds of bucks on a card just for memory

Was playing crysis 3 on max settings 1080p, AA off. FPS was kinda everywhere. Had dips of 28 in some places, but the low FPS without sudden dips was mid 30's. High of course was 60 and I saw it a lot. I'm at a tough part though, at least I think that part is tough.

My mobo ECS A8855GM-A2 (AM3 socket), Phenom 965 I bought the mobo with the intentions of not being able to upgrade much. This was a budget build and sure I could have easily gotten an AM3+ socket one, but I wanted my upgrade on it, to be intel. I'm also tired of the issues I have when I OC my cpu. It's 100% stable, before you ask. :P But if I restart or turn off my computer and then turn it on later, all I get is a black screen and I have to reset my cmos. I'd be happy if that doesn't happen when i switch to an intel cpu, mobo.

Things will change, that's a promise. The only thing that will carry over to the new build will probably be the tower, gpu and maybe ram.

GPU doesn't go over 45, even with the power limit at 130% during Furmark. CPU tops at 60, so I will have to check if there is some bubbles in the block or reseat the block. GPU idle at 26-29, CPU idle at around 30.

Wow. Nice. I might have to consider doing this in the future. Your gpu idles at where mine does now. But it's crazy that it doesn't go over 45  At the end of this week, I'll have about $200 saved
