I know, lol. But when I can see the same person go up to someone else and chat up a storm, it just makes me feel bad. I'm not much of a conversationalist, I just don't have enough to talk about.. Even if I share some common ground with some people, we very rarely share the same passion for it, so either I or the other person runs out of stuff to say to keep it a conversation that both can enjoy.
But when you see a person you want to talk to, and you see somebody else go up to that person and they end up talking and having a good time, it makes things easier, since when they're finished, you think "Alright its my turn, if that person was able to go up and talk to them, why can't I do it? I'm sure I'll have a good time talking to that person as well."
I still haven't really recovered my need/want to be social from my experiences in middle and high school. I don't really go out of my way to make friends or talk to people, not from a lack of wanting to but more a product of not wanting to be passed over or hurt. I have no problem being pulled into conversation, but starting them is not my thing. I don't even really start a whole lot of conversations with my friends either, I say what I need to say, and say more if the conversation keeps going. I have more fun listening to what other people have to say than sitting there talking for hours.

Sounds like you got bullied in Middle/High School, argh, that's quite common, seems to happen to everybody sooner or later. I don't know if you know this already, but a lot of places/sites/forums/ can be like that online as well. I definitely think from past experiences I've been cyber-bullied a lot more than I have been bullied out in the real world. ...Which really gives the internet a bad reputation.
I don't see a whole lotta point in me trying to talk to people about things other than work. I can't just go around showing my true self or they'd freak out and run off.

I can deal with people talking crap on the Internet, they don't know me, I don't know them, therefore I don't really care about people disliking me or my opinions. If they get too annoying, I'll just ignore them. I don't mind leaving a site/forum/board to get away from someone that can't feel good about themselves without putting others down. I couldn't do that in real life. I can ignore them all I want, but I can still hear them. Not saying one is better than the other, but I'd rather not have to deal with it in person.

Then again anyone with any sense of whats weird should sense just from looking at me that I'm not right. My face hardly says anything. Its just always the same.
I often find myself letting my eyes venture when it's a face to face conversation. I can't seem to ever look someone in the face for too long while conversing.

True. I don't have the energy or desire to try finding a 2nd person like me tho. It took about four years and a lotta stuff to get me to see myself for who I really am.
