They've gone and got themselves "charitable status" because they are now recognised as an official "religion" by the UK charities commission.
Despite not really having cohesive beliefs or doctrines, Druids now have charitable "tax-exempt" status, as well as other possible exemptions to the law (i.e. permitting sexism and discrimination, etc.). Druidic "rites" now have to be taken with equal seriousness as any other religious activities.
Scientology has been refused religious status in the UK, although it does still get tax breaks for being a "non-profit educational establishment". (Scientology is a full charity and recognised religion in the USA.) The "Jedi" faith was also denied UK "religion" status, despite having 400,000 adherents, according to the most recent UK census.
