Not sure where to have put this so created a new thread :D

But my favourite memories of AMiga gaming where the following:lol:

1. BIG and I mean BIG cardboard boxes. Used to love buying games where you would get a huge box and you would hear rattling inside - then you open it and it was 1 disk and a small manual

2. The kickstart/workbench screen - ahhhhhhhh that white screen with the hand holding the disk - http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en/2/25/Amiga_kickstart.png

3. Guru meditation - http://www.mac-emu.net/IMG/gif/guru.gif

4. The clunk of the disk going in the drive

5) Holding a pillow over the machine late at night to prevent waking the whole house up with the noisy disk drive.

6) Agreeing and disagreeing with the choices in the APATTOH.

7) Free coverdisks with whole commercially released games on them.

8.) Following from (7) the free coverdisk demos of Mega-Lo-Mania and Legends. I spent more time on those two demos than many bought games!

9) The novelty of a speech program (after coming from a Spectrum background). Who didn't type in rude words to hear the Amiga say them back to you?

Edit: The damn smiley from statement 8.
