Yaiba looks incredible, out soon!

Why is there so little buzz around this title? It looks total dope to me. And release date is just around the corner (18/3 NA, 21/3 EU). Platforms X360, Ps3, PC.

Played the Demo in January in a gaming convention and it was terrible, repetitive as hell and just really bad. not interested one bit.

Ouch, that bad huh? Is the combat system too simplified or what?

The game reminded me of the Dynasty warrior games with a bunch of enemies on screens and you simply clicking Square button the entire time i mean i dont mind button mashing but this game had some serious issues with button mashing, weird camera control, uninteresting enemies and it was one tutorial after another with no option to skip.. really didnt enjoy the demo i mean they may have fixed a lot of things in the final game but the feel of the game wasnt that great if that makes sense.

hopefully they release a demo to everyone so you can give it a try.

Love me some quirky hack&slashers. Will probably wait until sale though to pick it up. Could be on PS+ by the end of the year too.

Yeah I think I'd wanna play some now before I buy it :). A couple of the things you mentioned may be better in the full game though (like less tutorials, and more interesting enemies), but it sounds worrisome.

Developed by Spark Unlimited and fresh off the heels of Ninja Gaiden 3? Lack of interest seems justified.

It's not the style of a Ninja Gaiden game that I like. Assuming I had believed that this mythical Ninja Gaiden 3 existed, well in thta case Team Ninja's last outing in the NG franchise was straight up ass rape of what makes Ninja Gaiden glorious. So no I'm actually of the camp that is glad they did something different. I just am not excited for it, but if it got some positive buzz I'd give it a shot. More so than Ninja Gaiden 4 proper...assuming 3 existed.

It feels like Ninja Gaiden is trying to pull a DmC, I'll play the demo, but from what I've heard it's a clunky mess.

I really hope that Team Ninja learned from NG3 and Razor's Edge on what to put into NG4 (they said it's in development).

Dunno... There is nothing I've seen in what has been shown to make me believe it's going to be great... Looks almost like nobody knows where this franchise should go... Maybe @jg4xchamp: should make the next game. That said, none of us would be able to beat it. :/

The glory days of the action genre are over. DMC is dead. NG is dead. Genji is Dead. Bujingai is no more.

Only thing left is Bayonetta.

If my PS3 was working I'd get it but I really hope they release a demo first, this feature article from Van Ord is a rather interesting read.

Really ? Previews gave me the impression that its only slightly better than NG3

Just a quick word: Before you accuse a game of being too repititive you might wana check to see what else it can do, sometimes variety is optional not mandatory, like Arkham City and Splintercell Blacklist and Hitman Absolution.
