It was great karma for Asstlus's dumb business practises and selfish, ignorant people who want everything handed to them on a silver platter (and unfortunately get it).

I'll be over the moon if NoA refuses to localize another game to the US.

This is a great example of how dumb some Americans can be.

One game/ collectors edition that doesn't make it to the US and everyone cries while they get almost every JRPG and fighter 10 months before everyone else.

Cry more.

Making a thread to respond to a thread. Yawn.

You coulda just stayed in the other thread and laughed at the idiot who started it, but nope. You had to go the extra mile. Get on a high-horse and proceed to make an utter fool of yourself. Congratulations!

Yo, to take this thread in a better direction about something actually worth discussing... To the Moon has awful dialogue. :?

Shame.

I mean, I'm only at the beginning, but one of the scientists literally said "What is this? I don't even..."

Protip, indie writers: Do not put internet memes into your f*cking games as lines of dialogue. It's not cool, it's not clever, it's not funny.

Also, the scientists are a couple of tw@ts.

I'll finish it, but I expected so much more. Gemini Rue is styling on it so far. I do love To the Moon's visual style, though. Sprites are awesome.

Brace yourself. Neil spouts a lot of pop culture stuff. But I honestly found him pretty endearing. He actually has something that might qualify as character development.

I'm okay with pop culture stuff, but internet memes in actual conversation bothers me. But we'll see. I do love the art. I like the music, too. Story has promise. The characters are just... ugh.

Well, I don't remember a whole lot of memes in the dialogue, myself, with the exception of two scenes. But there are a ton of pop culture references, hoo boy. I personally enjoyed the banter between the doctors, though. They provided comic relief that I thought was pretty welcome.

If that bothered you, though, I'd advise you to be wary of Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP.

Also they should be reminded we had to wait 6 months for no apparent reason for Smash bro's because Nintendo has a completel inability to actually localize games in a fairly decent timeframe....

I remember the **** bout EFLC because there was a printing error in the US, the Americans moaned and b1tched saying the EU launch should be postponed because they got it first basicallty.

Honestly if anything Americans need to learn the whole blodoy world revolves around them when it comes to realeases.Im not agreeing to the extent of TC's idea but they do need to stop whining about such a frivilous thing especialy in that example topic posted...oh boo bloody hoo you get it 5 days late, trust me live in the UK we speak the same language and we sometimes have to wait bout 6 months (depending on developer) to get some games.

I agree, JRPGs no longer need to be localized when WRPGs have been so much better this gen.

 "Stayed in Europe" as if these games originated in Europe and it is the only region that deserves good games(another  ).

Xenoblade, Fire Emblem and The Last Story should've stayed in Japan because we now have eurotrash like Nega3 embarrasing themselves over some Japanese games.

#38 Posted by AznbkdX (3226 posts) -

Well since I had the nerve to read the post before calling out total troll, I can agree that we tend to whine a lot over things like this. We do tend to get things first, so its no wonder ppl get antsy about it. I don't agree that the games listed shouldn't come over though as we were likened to them as well, and we did our waiting. First world problems I guess.

Also the Last Story is Xseed's most popular game that they ever localized.
