Xenoblade Chronicles X Hype Thread - Are You Really Feeling It? (GS: 8/10, HYPE MET)

Developed by Monolith Soft and published by Nintendo, Xenoblade Chronicles X comes exclusively to the Nintendo Wii U on December 4.

Being the spiritual successor to the original Xenoblade Chronicles for the Nintendo Wii, the game promises to improve the combat and bring a completely seamless and vast, vast world with incredible scale and tons of content. All while taking a full Sci-Fi approach more akin to Xenogears and Xenosaga.

It's a deep space science fiction game.

I want to like this game. I will buy it and hope for the best. What worries me is combat and if the world feels alive. I'm guessing 8.0 here.

Its a sci-fi not related to the first Xenoblade Chronicles story on Wii (only in name). The crash pod city is meant to be Los Angeles or ingame New Los Angeles. :P

Dear lord, and I haven't even finished Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Smash Bros and Mario Kart. Man... it's awesome that the console has so many games I want to play, but man, it sucks too.

AAAA. This will be essential for a Gen8 JRPG experience. The game will be ginormous but also beautiful. I suspect that this game will ruin people's taste for ffxv (for those of us who have a WiiU and a ps4/Bone).

I'm guessing 9/10, but I'm waiting for reviews myself, sure it'll do good all around but not sure if the game is for me yet. Will probably sleep on it a bit. Comes out around Just Cause 3 too so might get it next year sometime. I have catching up to do on holday quarter releases.

7/10. Xenoblade X looks like a flawed title that will be really enjoyable for those who liked the gameplay quirks in Xenoblade, but not worth it for anyone else.

The combat looks great. Just hope it actually has characters and a story that isint boring as paint drying. Im going for AA. Review will probably say it doesint have the same charm as the last game or something like that.

This is definitely a 9 looking game by GS standards.

Am I the only one that thinks this game is 10/10 worthy? Just looks at the level design. Amazing.

Though this is Gamespot so...9/10 for me.

Either 8/10 or 9/10... While I'd hope for 9/10, it would probably most likely get 8/10.

I'm not feeling it like i was with Xenoblade Chronicles...i feel this game is lacking something...don't know what it is, but at times it feels without focus or it feels empty, don't get me wrong, i still want to dive in the world and play for hours and hours, also it will most likely the last game i geet this year so i'm definitely hyped for it...just not as much as i thought i would be.

Anyway, i'm going to play safe on this one and go with AA.

The import reviews claim that the story is diluted because they didn't have a fixed main character, not sure if this is true

I just don't see Nintendo hyping this like they should be but I figure it's AAA on my part but playing the actual game however, I'm not expecting much.

If fallout 4 with all it's flaws can score AAA, I don't see why this can't.

That's my gut feeling as well, though i'm hyping it a 7/10.

I am, as they say, really feeling it. I loved Xenoblade 1, and X looks like it's improved upon the original in most ways, so I definitely want to play it some day (don't currently have a WiiU). Hype for me is at AAA.
