That’s a first for Microsoft, since China’s console ban has been in effect for the entire time that Microsoft has been selling Xbox machines.The launch with Chinese partner BesTV was supposed to happen last week, but Microsoft delayed the official sales until today. The delay was no surprise, given how many things can go wrong with a console launch. Microsoft said it has launched the Xbox One, which debuted in the U.S. in the fall of last year, is now on sale in 4,000 retail locations across 37 cities in China.He added, “Despite this being a momentous day, I am not as enthusiastic about sales and overall perception of Xbox one in China in the short term. But hopefully they fix this lineup.They have already said they were getting Fifa, Titanfall and Halo MCC ready. The latter before it's world wide launch.

How many XBox launch success threads does this make that doesn't actually have any sales figures to show?

I guess with how sales have gone it's probably best to brag before reality sets in...

I love how the city was lit up green. I can picture being there in that moment. What a great feeling it must have been.

I might plan a trip there now once I check if prostituion is legal.

For someone to have never played a console game and then suddenly exposed to a game like Forza 5....wow. I think word of mouth will give the Xbox One strong legs there. Anyways, good to see this.

No surprise here. The Chinese actually enjoy American products. Buick is literally the "Mercedes Benz" over there. And pretty sure Apple products are like "Sony" over there, too.

Agreed. I didn't expect it either. The PS4 should garner a big response (imo bigger) when it releases. But hats off to MS for being first, I guess.
