i bought my brother a 360, and i play it when ever a good exclusive comes out for it. My brother isnt an online gamer, so i made an account for him a week ago. I started downloading demos from the xbox marketplace, and yesterday it RROD'd. I never had problems with my 360 until i started using the online portion. Could that be the cause of RROD?
Anyways, i didnt want to send it to be fixed, so i looked up videos on youtube, to see if i could fix. I tried this first:

Then i came across the towel trick, and i swear my 360 is working now. Now i can play left 4 dead!!
