Xbox One would make PC games look better ?

If the Xbox One uses DX11.2 then games might look significantly better on PC.

YAY. :)

Last Gen, many people went around saying that the consoles held the PC’s back with their specs. This was obviously true.

The Old gen consoles had barely 1gb ram.

But this gen, they have 8gb ram.

Better GPU by far.

Meaning PC is gonna get an extra boost in terms of visuals.

Battlefield 4 on PC (and allegedly Xbox One, though that's a flaky rumor) makes use of many of these DX 11.2 features. With them being the standard on the Xbox One, I expect a huge rise of these features on PC versions of games as those features easily translate to a console when porting. We won't wait half a decade to see these features. They're being used in development-stage games as we speak. Although I still believe Direct X is better than OpenGL, some say otherwise.

Direct X 11.2 introduced Tiled Resources, OpenGL is a joke or more of a pain in the ass from what I’ve read.

I guess people already take this for granted -_-.

Anyway.

I would like to see Xbox One use DX11.2.

This is good news for PC owners if it is true.

:)

devs will be able to do little more due to the new consoles without worring about it running on consoles. in few years we be in the same situation

GRAPHICAL BOOST BECAUSE EVRYTHING JUMPED UP SO HIGH. in the console world ???

I’m happy that you all have 8gb of ram.

But it’s consoles holding PC graphics back and a jump from 512mb to 8Gb in this gen is not NOTHING, is it ?

Please don't do this again. You have no idea what you are talking about.

Also, 32bit windows has had just as much impact as limited console resources, if not more.

pfff this is funny

Steamstats show most pc gamers don't even run DX11. And have vastly inferior hardware. This will primarily be useful for console gamers.

All I care about is Mantle.

Does Not Compute. PC already superior...

@trasherhead: Open GL had worse support

This might change with Linux push.

Native OpenGL on windows wasn't up to par with the rest.

Probably because MS probably was coding their OS so that DX could benefit more. -_-

You whole post is LOL-worthy. But this line is the best, I mean OpenGL introduced Tiled Resources first, i can go on but i don't see the point...
