Xbox One vs. PS4 Install and Functionality

Lol, I couldn't help myself, but here is some rather hilarious commentary on MS' blunder of a OS. Hopefully this can be improved with future updates.

Yea, the One has some issues with install times and download times. It'll get better.

I didn't know it was that bad... That was one of my major complaints on the ps3 was the long install times when I just wanted to play the game I just bought. Now you can have the option to play single player while the rest of it downloads, cool.

Yeah, it's pretty bad. M$ will need a patch to correct that mess. I installed my M$ games while I was playing my PS4 games. LOL!! Works for me.

Yeah installs take awhile but I am not impatient. Downloads wont change for me as NZ has slow internet anyway.

PS4 is as fast as 360, and X1 is as fast as PS3! It seems i have been doing the right choices every gen :P

That's just horrible, the load times for the XBO is a real step back for sure, I don't know what MS was thinking with that.

The one thing no one is pointing out is........After the install, does the PS4 disc ever spin again? If it spins and needs to read off the disc, it is not a full install from the disc.

The X1 takes all the information off the disc and never needs to spin it again. It only needs to recognize it there.

They both install 100% to the hard drive. The disc is only needed to be put in to prove you own the game.

Ok this is what I was trying to get at but can anyone confirm that the PS4 disc spins or doesn't?
