Launch QB the same time UC4 launches is mah guess.

Anyway, QB never had a firm launch date so meh, too many great X1 games coming so let this one bake a bit longer plus ya know, it's Remedy, who didn't think they wouldn't take their sweet old time?

Alan Wake developer Remedy Entertainment's upcoming time-bending Xbox One shooter Quantum Break has been delayed. The game, previously set to launch in 2015, is now slated to arrive next year.

Microsoft head of publishing Shannon Loftis said in a statement that the company already has the "strongest games lineup in Xbox history" with games like Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Fable Legends, Forza Motorsport 6, and "more we'll announce in the coming months."

“With so many games launching this year, moving Quantum Break to 2016 extends our incredible portfolio into next year with a monster new IP," she said.

This move isn't all that surprising. After all, Head of Xbox Phil Spencer said previously that Microsoft's 2015 lineup was so stuffed with great games that the company might need to move something. "I honestly don't know that we can actually ship all the stuff that thinks it's trying to ship [in holiday 2015]," he said back in November 2014.

As Loftis alluded to, Microsoft is likely to have more announcements in store for E3 2015, including possibly some news about Gears of War.

Microsoft also confirmed Thursday that Quantum Break's live-action TV show counterpart remains in development following the closure of Xbox Entertainment Studios last year.

Remedy creative director Sam Lake also shared his thoughts on the Quantum Break delay, saying the extra development time will allow the studio to further polish the game.

“We thank our fans for their patience, and want them to know that the team is taking advantage of this opportunity to polish and fine tune the game to create the kind of standout entertainment experience they've come to expect from us," he said.

Previously, Lake spoke of Quantum Break as the "ultimate Remedy game."

Quantum Break isn't the first big-name game to get pushed out of 2015. Others include The Legend of Zelda Wii U, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, and Homefront: The Revolution.

Thank God I got my new PC this year.

It was expected. By this time if they couldn't give a release window then you know it needed more time. Besides, with Halo, Forza, Tomb Raider so far coming out this holiday, MS should be fine. Really wasn't any room for the game this holiday anyways, release it spring of 2016.

Good news, with all the multiplats/exclusives for fall/holiday season coming to The One already it seems good to space it out.

I think most expected this but wth, it gives many here a reason to cry mooaar about X1 so I posted it. :P

Now, could you imagine the screams and gnashing of teeth if Halo 5 was delayed? Yikes, total internet blow up. hehe

So this is the first major game to be delayed on the Xbox ONE. I think every title on the PS4 was delayed so this is no big deal.

Take your time with the game, give Xbox fans something epic, they deserve it.

Man, nothing about this game makes me care about it at all, hopefully the year's delay can make it look more interesting.

I guess I though someone broke the story a week or so ago about QB? I cant think of another X1 game that has been delayed besides this one. I'm not mad anyways, Remedy can take their time and make the best game possible, then they'll work on PC release :P

This is not surprising at all. I never actually expected it to release in 2015. How long did it take for Alan Wake to release again? Announced in 2005 and released in 2010. I will be shocked if this releases in 2016 as opposed to 2017.

Yeah the X1 / PC combo be working again big time this gen with all the added SecretSauce DX12 StormCloud all baked together with Windows 10.

Not ever game, just Uncharted.......which was the only big game they had other than Bloodborne this year so far.

5Club was supposed to be a launch game and The Odor was delayed if I recall correctly. There's likely others I don't recall atm. :P

Neither did Halo or Forza 6,but never the less the developer stated 2015 that means from January 1 to December 31.

This wasn't a blank statement on a site he on video claimed the game was coming in 2015.

I read that After Uncharted 4 comes out Sony is leaving the AAA game behind because they cost to much and are focusing on indies game instead, you can already see it happening already

Oh the PS4 does have more than just 4 games and not just focus on 3 months,the year consist of 12 months not 3,so have a nice time waiting 9 months for any of those games,oh 3 months already have pass you have 6 more to go.

By the way is it me or Phantom Dusk also disappear from that list of games,it wasn't mention...lol
