With Destiny requiring a 40GB install on Xbox One it's a good thing MS made external HDD possible.

@clr84651: 500 GB is going to be way insufficient for somebody who buys a lot of games on either console.

Why would we want to delete games... When we want to play a game again next time we would have to delete something else as well as install that game again!! Think before you write.

Luckily the PS4 allows for new HDDs already installed a 1.5 TB on it.

Got like 20 games downloaded and a TB left :D

Uh yeah both the XOne and PS4 will need upgraded HDDs so not sure what youre trying to get at.

At least I can mix HDDs on the Xbox, whereas the only option is to switch on PS4.

I might have to get 2+ TB for my xbox because the install times are brutal. I'm good with 1 TB for ps4 since the games install in like 4 minutes.

Something might be wrong with my xbox because dead rising took 3 hours. How is that even possible? Is the the disk drive that slow?

The Disc drive is that slow.

I've installed DR3 on two different XB1s now and it took over 45 minutes on each

Yeah but what's to stop MS from pulling the same shit last gen? 100 gb caps and only specified hardware because of "cheating" and not because they wanna make a butt ton of money or proprietary hardware.

That's so tin foil hat. If we're pulling nonsense out of our ass, what's to stop Sony from doing the same thing? They could remove the functionality just like they did with Linux on the PS3.

Surprisingly yes not starting an exclusives thing here just saying what the system has

Killzone Shadow Fall ( I know),
Sniper Elite 3,
Bound by flame,
Hohokum
Ground Zeroes
HoHokum
Contrast
Flower
Sound Shapes
Need For Speed most wanted
Black Flag
Metro 2033
Metro Last Light
Flower
Battlefield 4
Call of Duty Ghosts
Infamous Second Son
Infamous First Light
Warframe
Doki-Doki Universe
Blacklight
DC Universe
Dead Nation
Fez
FF XIV ARR
The Last Of Us.
Rouge Legacy
Hotline Miami
Entwined.

That's over 20 games the PS4 has. There's no arguing that.

Something PS4 players might not be aware of, XBone you have to wait for the 5-10 minute install if they delete it while we just have to pop the disc in and it streams the data to the HDD.

Funny because all we read is the new consoles have no games. WTF is filling up the HDDs then? I have an external already, but well over 250 gb still on my HDD.

And true. Who knows it could go either way. But it's very nice you can attach a very large amount of storage.

Exactly this.. How do you guys have time to play more then 10 games within a reasonable time frame? I never have more then 3 or 4 go to games on my HDD's at once and always delete a game if I'm done with it. I'll install it next time I want to pick it up..

This is a non issue and just more examples of the gaming community being dramatic children and looking for something to complain about.

I have external drives because I have hundreds of movies and shows on them, but never because I've ran out of space on my X1 internal..

Because they didn't allow Flash drives and then one day just decide to cap them. Which is what you're saying they'll do now. Try harder.

You also mentioned proprietary hardware, but you could use any flash drive.

Fail

So they introduce flash drives and cap them instantly

And then start selling 8-32 gig sticks at double the price? Talk about a major fail on you and on microsoft.

They can easily cap hard drives and start selling higher storage microsoft branded External drives and cap non MS branded ones lower.

Please fail again.

Them selling Xbox branded flash drives is irrelevant because its was never forced. You have always been able to use any flash drive.

"Yes. The more our customers use their profile and download digital content, the larger the file size necessary to store that content and move it between consoles gets. Therefore we increased the size of the memory to enable our customers to take more of their Xbox profile with them on the go."

So they actually increased the cap as time went on and people needed more space. This whole hypothetical situation of yours is hilarious.

In the past, MS have never imposed a cap on something people were already using. There doesn't seem to be any limit to the size of external HDD supported on the XOne, and theres no evidence to suggest MS would impose a cap.

"They can easily cap hard drives and start selling higher storage microsoft branded External drives and cap non MS branded ones lower."

That just sounds like a wet dream of yours. LOL.

Get a life

LOL.

Get a life

Yes my wet dream is that exactly, I go home every day and think to myself "hmmmmmmm.... How can microsoft screw up

so I can PWN the shit out of some people on a message board"

Ohh I should get a life? I'm not the one who would defend a corporation till his last breath sucking on the teets of MS on the message boards as per your posting history, trolling people for the "lulz" and then proceeding to tell me to get a life.

Also I own an XB1 and plan on picking up it's awesome holiday lineup. So Boom. Please come prepared next time so I don't have to embarrass you in front of everyone.

You know the second someone whips out the "get a life" insult they're just failing. Sorry bro also spent two weeks traveling the east coast of the US soooooo yeah..... good luck telling me to get a life now.

The only fact you presented was there being a cap on the size of USB Flash drives that can be used on the 360.

Theres nothing for me to even refute. Its totally irrelevant.

No it's not irrelevant. I brought up a point. If they did it last gen what's to stop them from doing it this gen at some point?

Fail harder next time please.

Wow meltdown. You're totally embarrassing yourself because your original point was total bullshit and you know it.

Yeah, you just suck the teets of Sony as per your posting history. But i guess thats okay? Right?

So what if you own a XB1, I own a PS4. Have done since launch. Does that make me as "prepared" as you? LOL

I spent 3 weeks in July travelling the west coast. But keep at it, I guess your life sounds decent enough

Luckily the PS4 allows for new HDDs already installed a 1.5 TB on it.

Got like 20 games downloaded and a TB left :D

Xbone allows you to plug in an external HDD... even easier.

I've got a 7200rpm 1TB one hooked up to mine. All good.

wtf is wrong with u people? how many games are u lot juggling at once? play a game and delete it, u surely cant be playing 10+ games at once

That's a reasonable response, at least in PS4's case. On there, you can install and you're ready to play in a matter of minutes, so I delete games all the time. Also, if I delete a digital game like TLOU, I can download the multiplayer first and start playing in no time. They really thought that out ahead of time.

XB1 installs are a pain in the ass though, I guess that's why they have the external HDD workaround but that's just a giant bandaid. I don't want to add more wires and boxes to my xbox. I'll probably get a bigger HDD on black friday.

Uh yeah both the XOne and PS4 will need upgraded HDDs so not sure what youre trying to get at.

At least I can mix HDDs on the Xbox, whereas the only option is to switch on PS4.

I said it's a good thing MS made so you can use an external HDD. That's what I'm getting at!

Imagine not being able to.
