You may as well ask "Do you prefer xbox to playstation?" ..no one will vote against their system more than likely. PS users will say they'd rather take inferior and free to superior and $4 a month..

Both really. Sure you get some better features with Xbox Live, but Playstation Network is doing a good job of playing catchup to the point where its just 2 or 3 places below Xbox Live interms of quality.

Xbox live is obviously the better network, better maintained, more people, ect. but the only thing is that it's charged for which could create some debate. I'll go with live though.

That's the only advantage in Live (for me anyway)... is it worth $50? No freakin' way. Not only that, I'm sure that will come to the PSN at some point.

I got my bluetooth headset for $40 and I can use it with my cell phone too. That in it's self is great to me. Things like buying AA batteries, or a charge kit for your controller adds more cost to the machine. With the PS3, it's bluetooth and charges with a USB cable on the PS3 or PC. No need for AA batteries, charge kits, etc.

I say this because I have both, and I see the positives and negatives of both machines. In my opinion, the PS3 gives you everything you need in a bundle package better than XBox. But the XBox will require you to pay for the things that the PS3 already has. It's just simple common sense.

You ever tried holding a phone to your head as you play games? Not exactly the most comfortable thing to do.

PSN is better because it's free. The only thing XBL has over PSN is achievements, but that's technically not part of Live because you don't have to pay for achievements, just playing online.

Depends on how you look at it, to the consumer XBL will probably look the best because of it's features and etc. From a technical standpoint PSN looks better since it's an open network pretty much. This allows for a lot of creative room as far as the scope of multiplayer games go and UCC. Mods on UT3 and the content to be made with LBP is a good start to where consoel online should head next gen.

I have both but I prefer XBL to PSN. Too many PSN features are implemented in a half-assed fashion. But free online multiplayer keeps it from being a total wash. XBL kills it in the features dept.

And what about when Home comes this fall?

Given the track record, I would say if Home comes this fall.

It'll come as an Open Beta. The closed will become available to everyone. New features implemented, etc. Although, you can already do stuff like party features in the beta. The reason Sony is still calling it a beta is because they keep adding new features to it. Games will start implementing Home as a standard just like Trophies. BioShock is doing it. Warhawk has done it. Uncharted has done it. Resistance 2 is doing it I think.

I find it kinda funny that every time there's an XBL vs PSN thread, somebody gotta bring up Home. I mean last time I checked Home is optional. So I don't get why would anyone bring up something that's optional to make their inferior online service look less inferior. I could understand if Home is mandatory so everytime you turn on your PS3 you'll be in Home when you sign in PSN. But most likely that won't be the case, you still have to sign into your PSN and then sign into Home.

While when you sign into XBL, you're already there, experiencing the Xbox LIVE experience. Every game you use your Gamertag, every game have Achievements, every game have custom soundtracks, every game have voice chat, everything is mandatory with XBL. So there's no need to be wishful and hopeful, waiting and wondering if the next PS3 game will support Trophies or custom soundtracks or if you could use your PSN ID.

So everytime someone brings up Home in a XBL vs PSN thread, that just makes PSN look more inferior.

But LIVE isnt LIVE without the "optional" $50 either....

if you're going to denounce anything that is optional, we might as well say LIVE doesnt have online play.

I find it troubling for MS to find out that PSN is neck-and-neck with live. They have had 6 years on the market, and yet it seems as if people are divided on which one is better...
