Xbox Exec Congratulates Sony on Bloodborne Umm, New IP?

I still can't see how people on here think that a niche game that definitely isn't for everyone, all of a sudden makes the PS4 library better than X1's. It doesn't. And now that MCC is fixed, I'd call it a killer app. And sunset overdrive, and FH2 are icing on the cake.

Erm, I never said it wasn't a souls game. I just said it's a bigger departure from Dark Souls than what Dark Souls was to Demon's Souls in a lot of ways. But yeah, it's a 'souls' game. Never said otherwise. I was making the point that Bloodborne is it's own thing and has it's own lore seperate from Demon's and Dark Souls.

I was merely talking with kingtito not necessarily calling you out. I have had arguments in SW since Bloodborne came out with cows mostly that want to act like this game has invented the wheel.

Of course not. It's breaking no new ground that much is certain. Sony fan are some of the most self entitled individuals in this communtiy. It stands to reason they will spray dog shit like that. But give the game it's due praise, it's doing it's own thing and stands tall on it's own. I don't see why lems have to downplay that.

What else is he gonna say? Bloodborne destroys every Souls game. I couldn't even watch the Dark Souls 2 remake streams because the difference is so drastic.

I understand that Bloodborne is a 'new IP', but really, a huge part of it's initial success has to be attributed to it's pedigree. I wonder how many copies it would have sold so far if it wasn't essentially a 'Souls' game by From, and instead was a 'Souls' clone by a different developer.

The X1 has plenty exclusives coming timed or not. Quantum Break, Scalebound, Fable Legends, Tomb Raider, Forza 6, Halo 5. I know this is SYSTEM WARS, but damn, why don't you "hardcore gamers" own both consoles and get the best of both? You know there are no rewards for cheating yourself out of great games from either company!!!

After garnering such ill-will from gamers after the XBONE reveal, comments like this can only help their PR image.

XO was a disaster. The only thing that will bring it back is taking a page from Sony's playbook last-gen and hit hard with 1st-party at any cost.

Bloodborne counts for more than a collection of old games does. That's for sure.
