I'm very aware that another person created a topic which contains a link to an article with similar contents, however that person didn't mention a word on this in his topic, so please don't lock it.

Taken from Eurogamer:

Xbox One launches in Japan on 4th September, Microsoft has announced.

According to Famitsu (translated by Gematsu), Xbox One games set to launch in Japan include Forza 5, Kinect Sports Rivals, Sunset Overdrive, Halo on Xbox One, Dead Rising 3 and Ryse: Son of Rome.

Curiously, no mention of Titanfall which had been already released in Japan for the 360. You may notice some kind of Halo as the launch title...So that means the new Halo is to be out in September anyway?

A raft of Japanese companies are making games for the system, including Arc System Works, Bandai Namco, Capcom, Cave, CyberConnect2, From Software, Konami, Level 5 and Sega.

Full list here: http://www.gamespot.com/forums/system-wars-314159282/48-japanese-companies-registered-to-develop-on-xb1-31225389/

Square Enix will publish Call of Duty: Ghosts, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, Thief and Murdered: Soul Suspect as Xbox One launch titles.

Will Xbox One suffer the same fate as its predecessors? Speaking to Eurogamer last year, Xbox boss Phil Spencer insisted Japan remained an important market for Microsoft's console.

"The Japanese development community remains incredibly important to us, and we're continuing to invest there," Spencer said.

"We're having great conversations with people. We're not announcing anything, but I can say both RPGs and specifically the Japanese developers are really important to our ecosystem."

Wow me and my other gamer friends want this so bad! We don't live in Japan but still. The Xbox One is a true next gen system with advanced graphics and an innovative online component. Part of me wants this machine so bad. I want to buy all the games for it and all the DLC for said games. So I can sit in my room for a week or so and just game. Maybe I could invite my gamer friends over to a gamer marathon with sugar drinks and tons of pizza. EPIC.

Anyways, good for Japan that they're finally getting this awesome system. I hope it will do well in this eastern land.

Japan gaming market doesn't even matter any more. It use to be, whatever tech was cool in Japan, everyone wanted a piece of that in their own markets. But now, it's meh.

This ^ ^ ^

It's not going to do much. It might sell about 50-75K units its first week and then die down to about 1000 or less after that. The PS4 hasn't even sold 1 million yet in Japan. Consoles are usually pretty dead in Japan until the price get down to like $250 or less. Then they will take off and sell better. That's what happened with the PS3.

Nah.. at least 50K. There are many Americans living in Japan as well.

Hopefully that Halo mentioned is not an error.. strange not to see Titanfall on there though! They should bundle it with the Xbox to help push units. I know it won't be magical and I'm not claiming that, but I'm sure it will have some impact.

The Japanese will be lining up around the block to play 10 month old 6/10 games like Ryse and Kinect Sports Rivals.
