Will you be going manticore this gen?

This is probably the first gen I've seriously considered going manticore. It's not that I have THAT much free time. It's that there's a ton of quality games across all platforms and I like having the freedom to play any one I want. What about you, SW? Have you thought about or have you already gone manticore?

I did Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii last gen, though I probably could have done without the PS3, I only liked a handful of the 30-some exclusives, but at least it was useful playing PS2 games on an HDTV as playing from a PS2 looked like poo even with component cables.

I already have a WIi U, so getting either an Xbox One or PS4 and I should be good for a few years. Only game I really want a PS4 for right now is the upcoming Persona 5, though I have a PS3 still so there's no pressing need to get one.

I have a Wii U, PS4, PS Vita, 3DS, and a Mac that runs about the only games I want it to run (Blizzard and Firaxis stuff).

Not exactly manticore but I think I am set.

Being the true gamer I am, I own all consoles.

I only need a Ps4 to have all systems, including a good pc. I'll get a ps4 if Uncharted 4 is good, if that is not good then I'll get one for Quantic Dreams next game, I loved Heavy Rain and Beyond:TS.

She'll live. I'm sure I'll go back to her after a few months anyway. =p

How people find time to play all consoles games in beyond me, two is enough for me.

Owner of all current gen consoles here. PC as well.

Then again I currently own all of the Nintendo, Sega, Sony and Microsoft consoles. SNK and Panasonic too! Can't get any more manticore than that.

As much as possible. I still need a WiiU and a decent PC.

I went full-blown Manticore last gen (Wii, 360, PS3, DS, PSP and PC). There's no way in hell I'm ever doing that again!

This gen I'll stick to a single home system and a portable console (PS4 and 3DS). That's more than enough.

I didn't want to but now I have a PC (Windows/Linux/Mac), Wii U, PS4, Xbox One, 3DS, PS Vita, Android tablet and phone, and an iOS device.

PS4 only for now. We'll see about upgrading my PC later and maybe a Wii-U.

No,I have less and less time to dedicate to gaming and the vast majority of what I want is on the PC,so its very unlikely that I´ll get another console for a long time.
Besides,PC aside,I´ve been playing a lot of my older systems for a while now,especially my Amiga 1200 and the Mega Drive,so I´m good with what I have.

@SolidGame_basic: I've bought the multiple consoles at launch for decades and this generation is no different.

I remember buying them at their launches. I start with the recent consoles to save typing, but I did launches in the 20th century too..

1999 Dreamcast, 2000 PS2 launch, 2001 was expensive with GC and Xbox launch. 2005 360 launch, also expensive since I bought two to LAN Perfect Dark 0 (LOL!), 2006 PS3 and Wii launch which was pricey. 2012 Wii U launch, and of course the 2013 PS4/Xbone launch which was pricey. Luckily, 2014 sucked for gaming so I saved a lot of money this year not buying much.

Selling the PS4 this weekend and no interest in the Xbox One. Have the rest but PC takes up 95% of my attention. I'd sell the handhelds too but I don't think anyone wants to buy a used Vita or 3DS. Keeping the Wii U for Smash, Zelda and X

Didn't realize there was ever a reason for being anything other than a manticore.

You know, other than being a mindless drone for any one company.

If I had the money to do it, and each company gave me a reason to do it, then I would.

Right now I'd only get an Xboner and a Wii U to go along with my PC.

this, no real reason to own a xbone if all the games come to pc and has the inferior versions of all multiplats.

Have all three, vita and 3ds. Yet I have no time to play, life sucks.

This is the first gen I WONT be going manticore. I have always bought every console every gen.

My 4th xbox360 just died on me last night. I am DONE with M$ consoles.

Also, last gen I got burned bad buying a wii because it had no games. Now the wii U looks even worse and does not appeal to me at all.

PC gaming is a joke.

I will be sticking with PS4 this gen only. At least Sony makes reliable consoles that has the best games every gen. I still have my PS1, PS2, PS3 and they all work.

Never had a Microsoft system or a Sony portable. Might get them both down the line. Covered on all the rest.

Have done so since the GCN/PS2/Xbox days.

PS3 WiiU, 3DS. I've always owned 2 Consoles a gen since the Snes / mega drive era and it looks like i may change that and get a PC. It will work out cheaper in the long run.

I own just the XB1 and that's all I need not interested in PS4.

I can honestly say I have never heard of the term manticore in reference to gaming. I have always been a multi-platform gamer. So, if I am understanding the term correctly... I think any true gamer is manticore unless they are mantipoor. Fanboys are not true gamers IMO. They suffer from a disease that prevents them from enjoying games regardless of platform. A true gamer will want access to all the best games.

I'm already a Manticore. Have been for awhile. I certainly have my preferences when it comes to consoles, but I enjoy games and want to experience games across all platforms and systems.

Well so far I've just got a Wii U, 3DS and I'm in the process of building a new desktop. Not much to get my interest on the XB1 or PS4 yet but I suspect I'll end up picking at least one of them up.
