Will the Master Chief Collection really move consoles?

just like i predicted ps4 will stomp x1, sony win npd despite titanfall launch, destiny is going to suck etc. i officially predicted halo mcc wont sell no where near the amount of consoles ms/fanboys hope. a hd remaster isnt going to sell a shit load of console + halo doesnt have the appeal to casual like it used to because of cod. the marketing budget of titanfall was probably much higher than a remaster. the game will sell good but as a console seller 500k max

What i was saying is that if Forza and SO are popular enough the gap may already be closed or be next to closed before MCC even starts momentum. Of course, we still have no numbers on Forza launch as usual.

Not defending but this saying is broken, how would you know if the clocks stopped at 12 is am or PM? And if the clock has a counter that tells you it's only right once a day.

Halo has a strong identity and titular character. I enjoyed Titanfall a lot, but I don't care who developed it, it pales in comparison to the behemoth that is the Halo franchise. Honestly speaking outside of Nintendo franchises and Call of Duty, Master Chief and Halo are probably the most recognizable character and series on any console.

Hell yes it will move consoles. How many is uncertain, but you'd best believe some people are going to buy it just for those remasters alone.

Will it move a lot of consoles? It isn't an original Halo title but damn is it enticing, especially with the 60FPS and 1080p.

honestly to me MC Collection is more of a reason to get an xbone than Halo 5.

343 are morons. The Remaster will be awesome because it's still basically a bungie game with better graphics. 343 is in full control of halo 5 and as a result it will be shit.

I don't know how many units it will sell, but I can tell you that I'm this close to buying an Xbox One just for the Master Chief Collection.

I already own the Halo games and played them to death. Plus, I never pay full price for ports I already own (Zelda Wind Waker HD, The Last of Us HD, Master Chief Collection, God of War Collection, Ratchet Collection, Metal Gear Collection, Metro Redux, etc)

It will certainly move a good amount of X1's, just in my day to day life alone I've run into 3 people who are buying X1's exclusively for MCC (2 of which are PS4 owners)

Every Halo has at least moves 1 million consoles within 30 full days that is a mainline title with 4 being the only debatable one. But it still eventually did after a few months.

ODST moves 1 million in 2 if not mistaken, of course one could argue it was riding the Halo 3 train, but it still did it.

Well outside of Halo 4 anyway.

it would be interesting if they had some way to check how many people played each game on the collection by activities/playtime/etc. I think that will show us how badly halo 4 really screwed up or if we were all wrong.

Well at least they make it seem that way. it probably will though, People are still on XBL on 360 playing 3 who still want to play it, and I doubt 60fps, and 1080p will do THAT much.

Halo 1 has a good chance to though, Anniversary collection had minimal advertisment and dissapperaed a month or so after launch so people may be interested in that, plus it will be better than the 360 version in performance anyway.

I hear that the last server was ending this month not sure how accurate that is.

Only Halo i ever really liked was the first one, the rest i never played more then once... and I already Halo remake version on the 360. I don't think this will sell consoles by itself but it helps... i'll still never buy a xbox one though. If i had to slum it in the console world i'd probably go ps4.
