Will the Master Chief Collection really move consoles?

Only thing that's swaying me to get a xbone over the ps4, atm. But, I will probably wait to see the full details of their supposed browser streaming.

Technically it's more of a remake than a remaster overall, but either way nothings technically new outside the Halo 5 Beta and the new graphics.

I remember reading once that this game was the second highest "trending" game of the year behind Destiny, so I wouldn't be surprised if it sells consoles. People have wanted this for a long time.

I really do get the feeling this will move a chunk of consoles. Idk the exact number obviously, but I think it's gonna move people from like 18-30 who grew up with the Halo franchise. And now people that missed the early years can spend $60 and get to play every major Halo game and get ready for Halo 5 next year. If I didn't already own an Xbox One for Titanfall, I'd definitely have it for this.

Having only played Halo 1 and wishing to complete the trilogy (don't have 360) + those 100 maps, i really, really wish i had an xbone. I'd gladly pay a good price for a pc version even.

MCC yes, it'll move units but Halo 5 probably wont that many. Why you ask? because most Halo fans will already have bought an Xbone for MCC.

That's a bit silly. I mean look at how much Halo 4 sold. it sold 8 in the shortest amount of item possible, possibly at 10-11 now if not more. Even if 2 million of thsoe are hesitant on 343, this will be a good way to show people how Halo 5 will be. Halo MCC may move at best on a great day 6-7 million LTD, but Halo 5 should sell nd move even more console, and probably get to that 6-7 million in a much shorter time.

Provided the game is good, gets good reviews, and 343 didn't screw up.

the average of GT sales are also close to that or even more and GT6 sales were much lower. that means nothing. Whos to say many Halo players didnt switch to ps4 and arent willing to buy an xbone for just one game? especially a game that has been declining in popularity latelly (halo 4 sales were lower than Reach)

Releasing GT6 at the ass end of a console generation was not a very smart business decision. How many units of GT6 sale if it was a PS4 launch title... It would still be selling. GT7 will sell 10 million plus.

I'm sure if you took enough copies and taped them together, you could throw them at the console and get it to move a bit.

i know for sure that it will sell atleast 1 because thats the reason i am buying one next month.. that Halo 2 multiplayer....

just like i predicted ps4 will stomp x1, sony win npd despite titanfall launch, destiny is going to suck etc. i officially predicted halo mcc wont sell no where near the amount of consoles ms/fanboys hope. BUT because it releases in november x1 sales should start to pick up anyway because holiday seaosn and lems will claim it did #damage control

a hd remaster isnt going to sell a shit load of console + halo doesnt have the appeal to casual like it used to because of cod. the marketing budget of titanfall was probably much higher than a remaster. the game will sell good but as a console seller 500k max
