Will Sony and MS make consoles after PS5 and Xbox #4?

They can probably still profit in the next cycle, but I think by 2027 or whenever, people would've moved over to the digital market. Sony/MS would find it easier and more profitable to just make software for existing hardware. Or they'll just make smart-tv's.

Nintendo will still make consoles, even if they only sell 5-10 million because it's tradition and that's what they believe in.

When 1GB/s bandwidth hits most of the major cities, there will be no more consoles in North America or Europe. Gaming becomes a service and our system wars forum will have to be re-branded as service wars. Everything will run in the cloud. Underdeveloped countries will continue to buy games on existing consoles or pc's.

It depends on how long this gen lasts really. If its as long as last gen I don't think you see another round of similar consoles from Sony and MS and Nintendo might be alone as the only traditional hardware console.
