...when do you think Wii is going to fall in sales? is it going to get to the number one console sold around the world? Will it keep causing excitement to gamers? Will Wii life's cycle be long enough (5 years)? Or we'll be getting a new Wii hardware update soon?

Well, its obviously not going to sell as well as it did during december until next december. But for the other 11 months, it will prolly still sell reasonably well.

It's bound to slow a little, but I still think it will maintain a higher sales rate than Xbox 360 and PS3.

Yes, it will keep selling like crazy and eventually reach number 1.

I wish I could manage to get one myself...

yes, because simply put, the novelty of the Wiimote will never wear off as people claim, once there are more games, there will be more uses for the Wiimote, and if the novelty of the Wiimote keeps this steam just like the touch screen for the DS, then IT WILL keep it's momentum

If anything, I think that the sales will increase when some actual games come out.
I mean, if the Wii can sell 3 million + when its only great launch title is a Gamecube port - surely it will sell more once the exclusive Mario/Metroid/Smash Bros games come out?

I think it'll stay the same or slow down a bit over the next few weeks. We definately won't see a major slowdown like with the GCN.

Yes, why??? No one wants to pay 400-600 bucks for games that are more complex and are prettier. Wii is simply cheap, innovative, and hella fun. Once online gets started, sales will shoot through the roof. And when there's a constant amount of Wiis at stores, all those people I know without one will have one and they outnumber the people with Wiis like 3 to 1 (guessing) which means that the Wii will have a great run and Nintendo will return to its throne.

Wii sales are nearly maxed out right now. People are buying them as fast as they can be manufactured

I don't see why it wouldn't. You can say that in a few years the gap between 360/PS3 will be so large that Wii won't be able to compete. But, the demographic that N is going after just do not care that the 360/PS3 are more powerful. They will never care. They want a fun, simple, cheap system.

As for established gamers, every gamer knows that if they get ONLY a Wii, they are missing out. And if they don't get a Wii they are still missing out.

The Wii is just too original. Not to mention the fact that it's $150 less than a 360, and $350 less than a PS3

Exactly, then again I don't know if they can increase if Nintendo can't keep up with demand. It's almost 3 months after launch and Wii is completely sold out everywhere in my city right now. If Nintendo keeps getting games like Manhunet 2 and publisher to release their stellar titles on the system I have to say sells will continue to rise. You have RockStar developing for Wii now they didn't release one game on Gamecube. EA saying they will boost their Wii gaming titles production and I'm sure their are many other titles that haven't been announced thus far from third parties.

We still have yet to see any more info on SSBB the number one selling Gamecube game. Wii has sold over 4 million systems and continues to sell out and has yet to get it's most flagship title. Nintendo I think may really take that number one spot back this generation.

You would get more bang for your buck buying a ps2 instead of a Wii which is overpriced for what it gives you.

Well, it's almost the middle of February - and people are still lining up for shipments. I think that pretty much speaks for itself.

Now I see why you haven't found one. Us unfortunate Canadians are receiving very slim shippments relative to the demand. They are impossible to find here in Halifax, NS as well.

The DS did. I think the Wii can, as well. As long as the games keep coming in, the gamers will keep showing up.
