I don't think Gears of war was anything to write home about. I definitely enjoyed the single player, but the multi-player was to basic and repetitive. I definitely think halo3 will be better than gears of war. Halos multiplayer has always kicked ass and will continue to do so into the future.

If it's not just a remake of the last game with better multiplayer like Halo 2 was...then yes.
gears of war's story sucks, Halo 3 will hogtie gears in that field. But online, gears is much better. I think Halo online is the worst FPS ive ever played in terms of online.

Are you sure you aren't thinking the other way around? I found halo2 to have one of the BEST online experiences and formats EVER. Gears was mediocre and repetitive. No variation.

LMAO, I'm sorry I just thought you said that something will actually be better than halo 3.......... oh wait you did. Sorry, Halo 3 will be better, GOW is great though, went out and bought an hdtv becuz of it.
Gears of War single player and co-op was sweet. Multiplayer sucked soooo much. I'm glad I payed $39 plus tax for Gears so I saved like $15. Halo 3 is gonna be in a league of its own that will dominate the competition.
Halo's storyline is excelsior. Their game length is also very good (Unlike Gears) and without a shadow of a doubt the multiplayer will be better. Halo 3's graphics might not be as good as Gears but there are definately different artstyles. There's gritty sci-fi and fantasy type sci-fi where there's aliens worshipping gods/caring about presentation and cosmetics while trying to wipe out the human race on their way. So yeah. Colors...Prettyness... but I have a feeling the Flood will be really impressive in Halo 3.
