Can't say i'm surprised because i've seen stacks of unsold Xbones everywhere for weeks. Even day 1 editions are still out there.

Probably not hard to do for two reasons:

1. It's less than half the cost

2. WiiU is a family system and the holidays are centered around families.

I dont entertain that in the slightest. My local best buy has been sold out of Xbox Ones (and PS4s) since launch, while there have been untouched stacks of Deluxe Wii U bundles since mid november.

I have NEVER physically seen a retail Xbox One on store shelves.

Whereas I am not entertaining this thread's BS claim in the slightest either, if you want to do anecdotal evidence, then across a Target, Gamestop, and Best Buy in two different cities over the last two months, literally the only two systems I have seen in stock are Xbox One and PS Vita, everything else is sold out.

Probablly because the xbox one and ps4 were sold out, meanwhile millions of wiiu consoles sat on store shelves collecting dust, so they got bought up by desperate parents that couldn't buy what their kids actually wanted.

the wii u is sitting little beyond 4 million, sony and Microsoft both released sales numbers week after release saying they sold over 2 million. I think it's safe to say those numbers are most likely right under if not above 3 million by now .

Not even being biased here, I've seen Xbox Ones EVERYWHERE, and I've only seen one playstation 4 in stock somewhere.

And I'm out shopping and in the gaming section all the time.

NPD and (in Japan's case) Media Create/Famitsu.

I've see those pictures of Manhattan NY stores with stacks of Xbox Ones, but honestly around Christmas there weren't any PS4's OR Xbox ones around where I live. Not at Target. Not at Wal-Mart. Not at Best Buy. Maybe they were coming and going, or you could ask a clerk to find one, but when I went in there were none on display anywhere. So it's not like there were "mountains" of them. Alot of places I'm sure sold out.

The Wii-U seemed to have "regular" level of stock - and the PS3 and Xbox 360 both had MOUNTAINS at Best Buy, regular stock at other stores.

No idea what it looks like now as I haven't visted any of these stores since Christmas Eve.

well isn't this to be expected ,

xbox one hardly has any worthwhile games ontop of that 500 dollar price tag and wiiu has 2 free games included in its 300 dollar price tag , where as xbox one has none,

also wiiu has a lot of games out and coming worth getting , so theres that and who wants to pay 500 outside the collector like my self or the fanboys like those who don't buy other consoles? ya that crowd is very thin compared to people who just play a few games here and there , ,

wii u is a better buy at the moment , same for ps4 I didn't get one because my game got delayed so theres that ,

you got games like batman ao , arkham city , cod titles, 007 . ac 4 ac3 me 3 , nfs mw u rayman legends nsmbu Nintendo land zombie u pikmin 3 Zelda , wii party u , theres a variety in games for everyone on wiiu vs x1 where theres hardly any variety at all ,

then you also have vc games and wii bc all of which can be played on the gamepad with the latest update

I really don't think this is true but just wait a few more weeks until the sales data comes in.

I think the Xbox One has yet to prove itself. Plus it isn't really all that hard to sell more consoles when there are more available. At my store we had more Wii U's on hand than Xbox Ones the week before Christmas.
