Wiifit will be worshipped by alot of overweight people... I can allready see it being praised in Shows like Opera and Dr Phill. I have a strong feeling sales will exceed over a million every month when that thing is released.

Stop hating on the non-gamers... Nintendo is doing a great thing. Wii-Fit will help those people to get a better and healthier life. In a Fun way that is.

No no no no no no mo mo mo

Mo?

And gamers? Seriously people arn't willing to shell out that much money to buy it and those multiplayer games will take to many strange borads. And those folks at nintendo could make a game like super mario galaxy instead.

Well you didn't, but think about it! People do buy videos with how to get in shape, why not Wii-Fit, and i can also se Opera telling how good it is. I'm now sheep, i'm a cow and i also belive the sales for Wii will go sky high! Think, the parents see this great thing for them and buys the console for the family!

The weird thing is, you're right. I can gaurantee the first time my Mom sees a Wii Fit comercial, she's going to say "We've got a Wii, lets get that." Nintendo will never stop the sales trend they've been on, just on Thanksgiving I had relatives over and I brought my Wii out for my nieces and nephews to play and it was automatically an instant hit, and then I was astonished when my grandmother comes out and says, "This is fun, I think I need to get one for myself." I was just like, God damn, Nintendoyou are freaking geniuses.

Most fat people won't go to the gym, lifting trash is boring as hell. If this can make them exercise and have fun at the same time I can't see how this is a bad thing...

Wii Fit has already generated more media attention and FREE positive publicity from the general mainstream media than ANY video game in the last 20 years.

If you don't like Wii-fit than dont buy it. But it's a wonderful product that can HELP millions of people.

I simply don't understand the hate and venom that this is recieving. This is a niche product garnered for a COMPLETELY different audience than those who play GEARS of WAR, or Grand Theft Auto. What is so wrong and evil about a company putting out a product taht is going to have a positive impact on an individuals life, health and well-being, than ANOTHER run of the mill shooter were you sit on the coach, and kill aliens at the press of a button?

like i said if i'm going to spend money on a wii just for wii fit i'd rather spend that 300 dollars on joining a gym, it would be a lotmore efficient than wii fit, gaming consoles are for gaming not exercise, what if we took a gym and started putting video games in it, that kinda wouldn't make sense would it?

Actually a LOT of gyms have video games, and most of those are gyms buying Wii's for their customers enjoyment. At my college our brand new state of the art wellness center has three 48 inch flat screen Tv's hooked up to DDR and, hold your breath, WII

Well, these fat people who buy the Wii to lose weight will probably fail to lose the weight like they usually do, and then they'll be left with a video game console and a writers strike crippling television and movies, and we'll have another gamer funneling money into game developers.

Sounds good!

For it to truly effect the well-being of someone, they will have to use it on a consistent basis, while eating the right foods. I'm just thinking to many, like a lot of people, will just think doing it here and there will magically make you someone fit and healthier.

It sure would make me visit the gym more often. Cause it's usually dead boring, so it takes a lot for me to go even though I sponsor my local gym with more than 60 bucks every single month just to be a member...

Wii-Fit is a great idea - I think it will sell in huge quantities. And it will probably deliver very good training compared to doing nothing. Which is the point; getting the couch potatoes up from the couch. It is of course not going to be a replacement for a fully featured gym, but that is not what it is aiming to be either.

ok well dont you think that detracts from the main point of being at the gym? working out? if you go there and kill time on video games(something you can do at home), same point im trying to make vice versa, dont get me wrong nintendo has done really good things this gen, but this whole workout fitness thing, I don't think so...

A gym membership costs a lot of money. Plus, Wii-fit would make exercising more entertaining. The reaon I don't exercise often is because it's dead boring.

No one really get's to play it really, all the Asian Exchange students pretty well keep it tied up. There have been workout games before but none that actually had the chance to do any good.

I pity anyone who hopes this game doesn't sell well or sell like crazy. Wii Fit is a benefit to anyone, except very fit people who hate gaming (and eat only vegetables and raw eggs).

[QUOTE="Dante2710"]just go to a gym if u wanna lose weight.......:?thejakel11225

A gym membership costs a lot of money. Plus, Wii-fit would make exercising more entertaining. The reaon I don't exercise often is because it's dead boring.

Can you explain how Wiifit will make exercising more fun??!!

The same way that Guitar Hero makes an incredibly repetitive minigame fun, or why many people play MMOs, when many sections of them are merely boring chores.

My wife and I will definately be picking up a copy of wii fit. No way am I paying gym fee's and this will make a nice change from all those exersise videos.

Nintendo have gotten everything right this generation. I hope whoever came up with their strategy for this generation is suitabily rewarded! - They stood no chance with a third expensive HD console and they knew it..... this motion stuff on a cheap console is just genius!
