It will be an amazing secondary console just like the Wii was. The wii u launched a year ago, I would hope it has more games than its competition which have been out around a month. Thing is, it only has a few Worth playing too. Ps4 and wii u are my next gen consoles at the moment.

what games? As in what games people actually want to play.

After a year it has 3 exclusives worth a spin. The other 2 just recently launched.

It's not exactly a large deficit they have to overcome. Besides if you're into PC gaming, the WiiU is actually worth considering. If you don't game on a PC, there is no reason to not consider the PS4/Xbox One over the WiiU. The multiplats/indie scene alone dwarfs Nintendo's output.

No doubt it has an awesome first party library, but like the Wii, it will miss most third party games...

I actually like FPS and Sports games like NBA 2k, and that juicy lineup for 2014. Shiet, Wii U is not even getting dark souls, what hope does it stand ? it's missing out from the best from last generation too. Last generation consoles still shit all over the Wii U, and the new ones already have.

Lack of 3rd party and weak hardware make it less desirable and sales have certainly shown that,

An entire year of WiiU does beat the first month of PS4/Xbone, yes. That's not impressive, and it won't last very long either.

I don't get how people compare a system with a year under it's belt to systems that launched a month ago.

People aren't buying PS4s and X1s for their current first day library. Its the potential. They know both systems will have the third party, and the cutting edge technology to pull off concepts they've never seen before.

People could waste their cash on Nintendo right now, but it would be extremely short term thinking.

The system does have some momentum over the holiday season and is nearing 5 million LTD. I think this can easily be sustained with the right marketing push. The software is there and what they have in the pipeline for 2014 is looking awfully good.

The console race is still up for grabs, folks. I would not count Nintendo out.

Right now and for the near future, Wii U is by far and away the strongest console of the three, but that will change when 3rd party support starts picking up on the other two. It'll definitely retain its value as a complimentary console though. Nintendo's first party is just too good to miss IMHO.

Well say it while you can, in a few months X-1 and PS4 will have a good amount of hit titles that the Wii-U can never touch....So enjoy your time in the sun while it lasts.

PS4 gets Infamous in march and that's pretty much it for exclusives coming

I suprisingly agree, at least at the moment. Nintendo has the stellar games on show for the horizon. Perhaps eventually that will change, but for now the other two have lacking lineups. I will say there is a possibility that Nintendo may release a new console in 3 years or so knowing that the other two were built for a long life cycle.

Well yeah, technically it's now current Gen like the PS4 and X1

On a Technical level I'd say it's more (closer) to last Gen. Kinda sad when my PS 3 can play Batman AC better.

They're all eighth gen consoles.
