Why was Battlefront racking up all gaming awards before?

Now that everybody has seen through the facade, and it's getting mediocre reviews it's supposed to, why the hell was Battlefront racking up all these awards? Like, hell, even getting "Best of" a show award? Not to mention getting best multiplayer game or best action game or best shooter, not even letting Halo 5 win a single award..?

Also, what's up with awarding games that hadn't come out over games that actually came out?

In general why mediocre games were put ahead of objectively much, much more superior ones?

The same thing with Need for Speed ahead of Forza 6?

What is the reason for putting mediocrity ahead of quality?

BTW cows do like to brag about Sony games being awarded the most...but what if those awards were given with the same level of shallowness and superficiality as Battlefront?

In general, awards don't mean squat, anyway.

Why do you care what other people think?

It was racking up awards because people thought there would be more to the game than what they had seen, rather than what they had seen being all that there was to the game.

He has a point. It just shows that most game critics/media are fucking tools and have low standards. They are easily impressed and swayed by publisher bullshit.

I thought Battlefront was absolutely amazing for the first two hours that I played in the beta. Then I realized that the game was overly simple and offered a mostly shallow experience.

It's not hard to see that critics would be dazzled by a limited demo of Battlefront. However, it's not like game show awards actually mean anything. Anyone who actually takes those rewards as glowing recommendations for the final game are fools. The final reviews and judgements are the only things that matter.

The same reason Titanfall did before it came out and died in a week.

EA has lots of money, money gives power, gaming media in bed with biggest publishers.

It appears to be some sort of sinister correlation.
