Why isnt ps3 slim/ price cut getting advertised?

i find it really odd that in the newspaper ads the ps3 slim and the now lower ps3 80gb is nowhere to be found. Anyone else find this odd?

Because the price cut means there's going to be less money comming in with each system sold, so they can't afford to market it.

j/k. I don't know why we haven't seen any commercials for it. I'm sure it'll be mentioned at the end of PS3 game commercials, though.

Maybe it's too soon...? There have been some advertisements made for Europe, though.

In Ireland the papers are full of ads for PS3 slim and 360 Elite.Plus there is PS3 slim ads on the tv aswell.

Well this isn't on Sony's part, but there's an ad on Yahoo! about the slim and it being a better deal than the 299 elite. Yahoo's a heavily used site.

Its all over TV, the internet, and my Best Buy insert had it in theirs last week and the 360's price drop this week,
