Why Doesn't Sony Remaster a Good Game?

Remasters/Remakes. They happen. Yes, some of us don't dig them. We think they're lazy or sometimes they just don't work, and Sony has recently released God of War 3. Remastered, all that jive. But what about remasters that are actually good games?

That game you see here, it's good. It might just be the best Ps3 exclusive right now. So, why not remaster it? 1080P/60FPS. JUST DO IT. They have Bloodborne as a Ps4 exclusive, which was great, so I feel they should bring this over. I mean, they're charging 40 bucks for God of War 3.

Is it because most of the audience is casul?

Also, Maiden Astraea is best boss. Demon's had so many cool bosses. It's my favorite Souls game, despite it only taking me 20 hours to beat. Yeah, this game is good, and I wish Sony would bring it to Ps4. Might as well.

Would you buy it?

God of War 3 was a good game and they remastered that.

Which one was Maiden Astraea? The one surrounded by fetuses? I hated that one. I liked Flamelurker a lot, and the guy with the really long sword, I think at the end of 1-3 was pretty good, even if he was too easy.

TC is a douche because he thinks the only good games are the games he likes.

I say The Last of Us did it better only the fact that it came with all DLC, it was a reasonable price, and I consider that GOTY edition on PS4.

That's the one. I really liked her story and the music. Flamelurker was the first boss that slapped me.

Remaster Infamous 2 because i like and nothing more /won't buy it is another story/.

They should buy back the Crash Bandicoot IP and pose him as their mascot.

I'm pretty sure they own the rights to the original games, the rights for future games were just sold off.

They remastered Jak, Sly, God of War, Ratchet, Ico/SoTC, Kingdom Hearts I, II, Re:CoM and BBS, FFX/X-2 but ok.

I didn't like having to fight the knight in tight space. I had to waste a couple of hours leveling up a spear and cheesing him on a bridge.

I wish they would do a remaster of Mass Effect trilogy for all the systems.. Include all the DLC, fix the bugs, add controller support (for the pc), and touch up graphics a little bit.. Hell if they could get the facials and models the same through every game, that would be amazing.. As it stands even if you want the full content right now you can get the Mass Effect Trilogy for $15, but it only includes some of the dlc, and the dlc is never onsale.. If you were to buy all the dlc on both 2 and 3, it would surpass the $50 range.

Apart from MGS4 and Demon's Soul what good game they had last gen?

Bought this after playing Bloodborne for 5 dollars on a flash sale. This is easily the weakest Souls game I've played, excellent game nonetheless. I'd rather see a Dark Souls 1 remaster, so I could play it on my console.

Demon Souls is a niche game. Doubt they'll make enough of it.

There's something odd with the game rights because in EU the PS1 games are available for Vita, but in the NA you can't download them in any form for the vita (including PS3 transfer)

THey did. The Last of US and soon UC. The two best games of last gne.

It beats the other crap they remaster, but I'd still stick with the PS3 version.

Because I'm playing the PS3 version right now and that would make me very sad freedom.

F*CK. NO. Not because DeS isn't great but because I am not putting myself through another second of bladestone farming.

We need a remaster of GT6, Folklore, Heavenly Sword, Journey with Flow and Flower, LBP, White Knight Chronicles, Ratchet and Clank All for One, Beyond Two Souls, Puppeteer, Ratchet and Clank Into the Nexus, and a Remaster of the Remastered Shadows of Colossus. Lets go.

What's the benefit of remastering a game like Demon Souls?

I honestly don't care to play that game with better visuals. It wasn't much of a looker back then, and I don't see see the point in laying down more money when the PS3 version is just fine.

I'd buy that day 1.

Demon's souls looked like an early gen ps3 game and lets be honest it was a budget title because they weren't sure if its going to sell. even yoshida himself admitted he had no faith in the game but when it got popular and more demanded this type of game, they made another one to boost their exclusive library.

i say MGS4 needs a remake not a remaster. its the worst kojima game i played but it was fantastic and i loved the cutscenes. people are too critical of this game. just enjoy the ride and accept it for what it is and not what you want it to be. its clear kojima didn't put his heart in this but it still remains great. i believe the hardware got in his way and compromised his vision so a remake to fix what he likes would be great but its never happening of course so i'm okay with a remaster that uses fox engine.

or just give me Dark Souls 1 prepare to die edition to go with my DS2 and DS3 when it comes out and i would have all the games on PS4.

Why are you speaking of linear games as if that's a negative?

@nyadc: My point was that Spyro is often times overlooked then Crash is. Yes Crash was a good game but Spyro on the other hand was an awesome game for it's platform open-world 3D.

We just got Dark Souls 2 remastered and Bloodborne this year, and announced Dark Souls 3. And now you want them to remaster Demon's Souls.

And another thing, why do people say that Demons Souls, Dark Souls, and Bloodborne are different franchises? They are all very similar in about every way. They're about as different as Ocarina and Twilight Princess are.

agree spyro was a much better game series than crash, would love a full remake of the ps1 trilogy unlikely to happen though.

I'd like to see Socom Remaster collection ( 1, 2, and 3) 1080p/60FPS. Then Twisted Metal (all of the ones released on PS2).

I think people would prefer Demon's Souls 2.
