Why does Nintendo always seem to get a free pass

*overpriced games/console they are selling upscaled HD editions full price If Microsoft did the same lets say a gears of war HD people would be raging online

*horrible online remember how Sony got so much crap for not having party chat with the ps3

*no content or titles but "its ok because zelda is coming out 2016" not to mention they already re-released 4 zelda games

* they released like 10 versions of the original DS

They company, the staff and the games get shit on every day around here. You must not spend much time online.

Cause Nintendo doesnt depend on those things. Nintendo doesnt use massive sales or microtranactions to help with profits. Their games do not require such crazy online features. PS3 had bad online. Nintendos online is actually very solid. Majority of their games run flawlessly online.

Nintendo delivers quality over quantity. And Nintendo gets no free pass, they just got one of their exclusives destroyed because of lack of content, but yet Halo 5, Need for Speed, MGSV, Star Wars Battlefront etc got a free pass for cut content.

People are at the fifth stage of the five stages of grief when it comes to Nintendo. They have accepted them as shit, and have moved on with other consoles. The people left there, are the ones who don't care about being shoved down to the dirt face down, getting their pants pulled and getting reamed up as they scream "NO STOP, but really don't because I like you Nintendo. Take my money."

They don't get a free pass. Lots of people on SW calls them out all the fucking time. In reality, even their home console is doing piss poor, At least the 3DS is awesome.

Sony is the corp that gets a free pass on SW. They re-release games like TLOUR a year after the original release. They have services like PS Now. They release systems like the Vita and don't support it. They are still praised more than other game companies.

TLOU was at the end of the p3 life I had no problem with that

I thought PS now was a great concept but the games are priced way too high and the subscription doesn't cover a good amount of them

Vita failed they didn't just decide to stop supporting it for no reason

I don't think it does get a free pass. The Wii-U console isn't selling for a reason... and Nintendo's lack of effort into their products is a big part of that reason. People know what's up, only delusional Nintendo fanboys don't.

Nintendo is not immune to the "remasters" of this gen, in fact between 3DS and Wii-U they've relied on it more than any other developer, arguably. Though I'm not really opposed to the idea of "remasters" in the first place. Particularly PS2/Gamecube/Wii era remasters.

1. Why is that when people claim a company is getting a Free Pass they're actually never getting a free pass?
2. Also why is WiiU's online terrible because they don't let you have Party Chat? Battlefront doesn't have Party Chat, guess that game has shit online right?
3. Also 2 of those Re-Released Zelda games are for 3DS, and for the most part, Those 2 Zelda games on WiiU are the only HD remakes WiiU actually has. So what's with the Bitching? Not to mention Mario Tennis Ultra Smash and Rodea Sky Soldier just released with Star Fox Zero, SMTxFE, and Xenoblade coming next year. Is your point that there's no 3rd Party? That horse died years ago son.

The combined sales of Wii U and 3DS is around 60 million...if this next project flops their status as a hardware maker is in jeopardy because I don't think the handheld is going to be viable for too much longer.

Agreed. lol. I remember seeing that Metacritic AAA list for the gen the other day. It was 3 WiiU games and 1 PS4 game. Solid 2yrs in still waiting for greatness.

I thought every company gets crapped on in System Wars but maybe that's just me. Sony had their time when the PS3 was released and afterwards, Nintendo was given a lot of crap when they did poorly with the Wii U Sales and then the complaints stopped because people were angry about Microsoft's always online policy (even though you need internet to use a ps4 and an xbox one which doesn't even make sense to complain about), and then they went back to complaining about Nintendo again with their sales.

Their online is definitely horrible and needs reworks but they don't have many online focused games like the other consoles do so it makes sense. They do release new content each year but they're almost always from the same IPs. I definitely agree with the different versions of DS though, I think they release way too many and that new 3DS was unexpected as someone who bought the 3DS early on.

They all have moments where people seem to be unfair.

Because most old Nintendo fans have given up on Nintendo a long time ago, what's left are the rabid fanboys that will gladly shallow all the steaming shit Nintendo feeds them. Fanboys of other consoles or PC don't see Nintendo as any kind of threat, so who's gonna complain.

Who gives a **** about Nintendo anymore TBH, people often say Nintendo is for kids, but I don't really think that's even the case, I haven't met a kid that gives a **** over Nintendo in years and kids are into videogames more than ever, the only Nintendo fans left are 40y old man-children.

Dont know bout you but games like ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, TLOU, U2, GoW and some others are often listed among many "Best games of all time" lists

Yeah Nintendo seems to be rocking it in handhelds but even mobile gaming is giving them a hit. Wii U sales are flat and Nintendo is taking hits from all the sides..

They don't get a free pass. I myself constantly give them flak for rehashing and milking the Zelda series. It's gotten to the point where they're releasing 2 Zelda games a year now.
