Im kinda curious why gamers give a rats a$$ about their exclusives going to another console, the only people that should care are Sony, MS or Nintendo as it affects their console sales. We as gamers have nothing to gain or lose by it happening so someone please explain their logic. I have an xbox and I wouldn't give a crap about GeOW or Halo going to PS3 because it doesn't matter to me, Ill be playing them either way. And Id also love to play MGS and Socom4( crossing my fingers) but know its unlikely. But good god, didn't you nerds learn to share as kids.

It helps decide which console to buy. If RE5 is both on 360 and PS3 but one of them has an exclusive game I want I'd go with the one with the exclusive game I want.

The only way losing exlusives works is if they are for two consoles that are drastically differently priced.

Exclusives only matter when they are GOOD. So exclusives in itself means nothing. Having the most exclusives for example means nothing if they are crapsclusives. However, a good multiplat bolsters the lineup of a system with good exclusives already, and makes that system that much more competitive as far as games.

yep thats pretty much it..

generally multiplatform is a good thing, but in the case of the ps3, less exclusives means less reasons to spend the extra money, if you can get the same game cheaper elsewhere

exclusives define a console, and play a large part in how successful that console is.

I realize that which is why I said we as gamers don't care about that, I mean you don't want your console to fail and have no games made for it but when you have morons petitioning to have DMC4 brought back exclusively for ps3 its a little weird. Id be almost embarassed to tell a normal person thats not a gamer that I would sign something like that.

Exactly! I'm a gamer at heart so I hold no blind loyalty to any one system(though I favor the xb/360).. I'll buy all three system's when/if I find that they're worth purchasing.. However given the fact that I already own a 360 (and possibly a wii by years end), It's becoming difficult to justify purchasing the PS3 when most of the games I want keep getting brought over to the 360 ie RE5, VF5, DMC...

Bragging rights, that's all exclusives mean here.
