Because that was their opinion (link to video for TC). You could always apply at Gamespot.com and write an article that's your opinion.

Here's a link that may help you in comparing systems.

It may help you look at other points that you didn't mention in your OP like install times (very slow on Xbone vs. PS3/360/PS4), PS+ vs. GwG (22 PS+ games vs. 8 GWG games), or Total games released for each machine (188 PS4 games to 124 Xbone). The Xbone does have an advantage, although slight, in exclusives at this point in time, but considering how young both machines are and considering the upcoming games for next year, it's too early to declare a major victory.
I did enjoy hearing five or more of the Gamespot.com staff explain the problems with the Xbone UI. They mentioned the Xbone UI was designed more for marketing that being useful.
This is the second video that Gamespot.com tackled the Xbone's poor UI and this time they went into great detail:
Lucy James found the Xbone UI difficult to navigate the UI with a controller and how you are forced to use Kinect shortcuts (if you have a Kinect model). She felt the interface was actively out to get her.
Kevin VanOrd (owns the Xbone) called the Xbone UI " a stupid mess". "It's More designed to advertise" to users than let him do the things he wants.
Seb Ford said the Xbone UI was Clumsy, confusing, snap isn't particularly intuitive...even changing settings is really frustrating.
Rob Crossley said the Xbone "Operating system and UI is so bad" and "atrocious" that he found M$'s team choices Genuinely shocking and fascinating. He can't believe how many bad decisions on the UI were allowed to be in the Xbone.
Cam Robinson said the Xbone UI needs to be completely redone for him to consider buying an Xbone instead of using the Xbone at the office.
I've always said, the Xbone UI was pretty to look at in pictures (aesthetically pleasing), but the UI is not intuitive. It was designed to deliberately promote Kinect, but even the Voice commands are spotty (also noted in the video above). Yes, I've memorized it after awhile, but new things crop up and then the journey begins on how to fix an issue or change something. It's a poor UI. It's hard to impress this to denizens of SW that don't have an Xbone. It's not a slow UI, but it's just set up poorly, even compared to the Xbox 360. Now with soooooo many Kinectless Xbones in the wild, this UI needs an overhaul.
There is a lot to consider besides your bullet points. I own both machines, PC, and a Wii U, and I gotta say, last gen machines and the PC is still better than either. I think the arguing right now is petty considering how weak in games and young both machines are. As far as exclusives and better software; the real battle looks to be 2015.
