Why are there so little games on Xbone?

According to wiki's list. I thought they had a comparable number to the market's leader. Even the number of exclusive is pathetic.

Xbone

Exclusive = 40

Microsoft exclusive = 9

Console exclusive or timed = 78/29

Total = 495

PS4

Exclusive = 90

Sony exclusive = 97

Console exclusive or timed = 167/21

Total = 816

More than enough games for me on both systems. Throwing numbers out there, especially like this, is pretty much useless.

Yay! A bunch of games I won't play.

PS2 had over 3,000+ games. Did I play them all? Hell no but the more to choose from, the better.

The WiiU has less titles than the Xbone with more quality. But I agree, so far the Xbox One has been a major step down from the 360. I'm spending a lot of time playing Mario Maker, and at the moment it's the only thing I'm playing.

Had to bring this up because people are misleading potential buyers by saying they are the same system having 90% of the same games. That's not possible when Xbone is more than 300 games short of the PS4.

Ignore TC;

No titles

No indication of game quality

No release dates

No regions

Cows are just pressed that they haven't got much to choose from this holiday season while the Xbox One enjoys three exclusives.

I wouldn't call The Order and 38473947 indie games I bought on PC 2 years ago for a dollar a treat.

how many of those 816 games have you played? and how many of those games were on the Xbox One?

Plenty to enjoy on the Xbone, It'd be nice to have a link and/or a list of all those games tc

And how many of those 300 games are crap? The PS4 will become the next PS2 if it's not careful, with thousands of games with more than 2/3 being absolute crap.

Pretty awesome when you can get both. Bloodborne is better than any MS exclusive. That and multiplats play better AND there are much more games.

Three of the biggest are on the X1. I think the word you're looking for is "few". IDK. It has more than enough for me to play. I never played a 10th of any consoles available games anyhow.

You forgot the whole "in my opinion" part, don't pass your opinion off as FACT. I don't like the DS/BB games, so for me those games don't mean shit. I like racing games the best, so since you're the resident Sony expert in here, please tell me how many great racing exclusives Sony has so far on the PS4 2yrs into this console generation. Also which of the 2 consoles you mentioned is better for racing game fans right now and in the immediate future.

both of these lists are full of games in development without release dates, you do realize that?

@i_p_daily: You don't like it but many do as it will be a big goty contender unlike any racing game. We can go back and forth on what each system is missing but we'd all know MS would win in that debate.

Years in and MS still doesn't have a AAAE. Isn't that the bigger issue?

500 games is not exactly 'no games,' man.

That gap will only get wider and wider. I just don't see a reason to own an X1 if you've already got a PS4. I just can't be swayed by 1 or 2 appealing exclusives.

And yet, Xbone has exclusives that a lot more appealing like Sunset Overdrive and obviously Forza.

I don't care if Bloodborne is a GOTY contender or if it's an AAAE, ABC, or XYZ. I play games I like, you play games you like. Ratings means nothing in the real world, Why do you spend so much time talking about MS and it's games, are you a little insecure or something???

Agreed, that list is extremely inflated with cross-platforms, JRPG's and indies.

Can you list 15 (not even alot) quality rated current generation retail games from that 300 plus list of games not available on the xbox one? If not can you understand why people would dismiss it as nothing but filler?

Thats not fair though, sports games cant win GOTY.

I have 84 games in my Xbox One library not counting BC titles. Thats more than I've been able to play without a backlog.

@i_p_daily: Well, Metacritic lists 176 games rated 75 or higher for the PS4 and 113 for the Xbox One. Though even with a cursory glance, it would include Evolve for the PS4 but not Xbox One, and also SW Battlefront for the Xbox One but not the PS4. So not an entirely accurate picture unless someone wants to go through the list, but I still think a far sight better starting point than a Wiki list...

@asylumni: You lost me at Metacritic. I'm sorry but i cant take anyone serious when they use Metacritic as their measuring stick as to what games are good and what are bad, or to judge which platform has the best games.

I see multiplats(Tekken 7) and Chinese territory(19 games total) listed to inflate the stats, I wonder how much more of that list is fluff or lies?

I think the real question is what are cows so scared of that they make their sole purpose in life trashing the Xbox?

Because the Xbone is a joke. It's the reason it's getting it's ass rekt in worldwide sales while lems cry on SW.

I can bet most of these so called "exclusives" are also on PC.

The Wii has a lot of games but guess how many of those are good.

Why make games for a console no one owns nor wants? If i were a dev, i would thin twice before making anything for the Bone,,, other than avatar clothing that is.
