Who really cares about TR when PS4 has Uncharted?

Why all the anger? ps4 has uncharted. the best tomb raiding game ever made lol.

Well, I'm a PC gamer and jumping down to low end hardware to enjoy the game would give me cancer.

Who really cares about either when Assassin's Creed has better gameplay than both and is completely open-world

Can i say something? Both are shallow games with no substance. That is all.

There are so many Tomb Raider articles on main page . Anyways , I care . The game had always been multiplatform and now it is exclusive which is a bad move . Tomb Raider franchise is much older than Uncharted , which had always been PS exclusive . Just because you are playing Uncharted doesn't mean you are playing Tomb Raider , because both are different games with different story , characters , art style , gameplay elements , lore and so on .

I am not buying Xbox One for just 1 or 2 games (QB and TR) , so I'll wait for possible PC release . Can't say the same about PS4 release though .

Uncharted 3 is worse than cancer.

i don't have a ps4 i don't have an x1 i don't give a shit about tomb raider, the only uncharted game I played was the best one which was part 2

i tried playing ass creed before and sold it after the first 10 minutes. the game sucks.

for some reason I always found that pc gaming took all the fun out of it. theres just something magical about consoles.

Uncharted 2 was the best Uncharted but the 3rd was horrid. Tomb Raider was amazing and I hope the next game will be just as good, while Uncharted needs to be redeemed in my eyes.

who said I don't like tomb raider? I liked the ones on the ps1 which were the best tomb raiders. all I'm saying is why should ps4 owners care when they have uncharted which is supposed to be their best exclusive.

Not going to name names, but I have seen one for sure who is all butthurt, but only 2 months ago was psyched that there was a sequel.

Uncharted 2 still hasn't been topped by Uncharted or TR imo. But I did enjoy TR on PS3 when it came out. Great game.

Must be the magical 30 fps.

Tomb Raider is pretty cool, but I wouldn't pay over $20 for it, let alone buy a system for it

I didn't much like the rebooted TR (it was, OK) but I enjoyed it more than the original Uncharted, which is the only one I played all the way through.

That type of game really isn't my cup of tea. Which sucks, because TR was one of my all time favorite franchises. The original blew my mind back in the day.

Tomb Raider was good, aswell as Uncharted. Neither game is a system seller for me or the ultimate game. Even though UC2 and 3 MP was a ton of fun!

I care about Tomb Raider and the exclusivity to Xbox pisses me off :S .. But I know it will only be a time-exclusive deal because Square Enix/Crystal Dynamics cannot afford not to release it on other platforms eventually since TR takes a lot of money to do and last TR game barely broke even.

@ps4hasnogames: I enjoyed Tomb Raider far more than any of the Uncharted.... probably because it had better gameplay... didn't feel so dated outside of graphics.

To be frank I could care less about tomb raider cause of its identity crisis. Uncharted was the reason I didn't bother to buy the game due to over similarity and making it exclusive doesn't even give a sense of missing out cause let's be honest, the uncharted looks more promising than whatever crystal dynamics hope to come up with for their poor attempt at an uncharted clone

Both Uncharted & Tomb Raider are amazing games in their own right. Don't try to downplay TR, just because you're butthurt over the exclusivity announcement. Tomb Raider is not inferior to Uncharted.

People that didn't have a console or also liked Tomb Raider as well Uncharted are kinda pee'd off.

I was never bothered by TR even on the previous generations of consoles, if i want that kind of gameplay i have 3 Uncharted games in my collection with a 4th on the way to keep me very happy.

Tomb Raider is awesome, especially that reboot. As good as games get.

My friends, the original Tomb Raider titles had intricate design, instant death, dastardly logical puzzles and T-rex's.

The people praising Uncharted over it are most likely the young modern gamers who started relatively recently. Opinions should only be formed with those with experience.

Making TR an Xbox exclusive is probably downer for the hardcore TR fans.

For everyone else i don't think a mediocre game being an exclusive is such a big deal especially when better games are coming out.

@uninspiredcup: exactly my point really, the previous design was unique and had its own identity, no other game played like it. Fast forward to the reboot and your friends at crystal dynamics decided what made tomb raider unique sucks and instead choose to control paste like for like tropes that made uncharted popular, don't get me wrong, there isn't anything wrong with taking inspiration from another game but atleast do it with grace and differentiate them enough not to look like a clear copy. I felt no reason to play the reboot at all and still feel the same

I agree 100% with you matey. Rather than working on the series strengths, they just fucking scrapped it all and essentially made a fairly bland third person shooter.

The sense of fun is gone as well. Essentially, Tomb Raider is torture porn and seems to have taken inspiration from Christopher Nolan movies in that's it's overly serous and un-fun as ****.

Rather than say (for example) INDIANA JONES WHICH IS ACTUALLY FUN!!!!!

I agree. Uncharted was THE generation defining title last gen. I bought Tombraider for $40. Imo it is an overrated, unfocused game. It doesn't know what type of game it wants to be. It's got clumsy cover mechanics based on an automatic system, way too much backtracking, and mediocre platforming. Uncharted is in another league. It is a tightly knit focused experience. It has the best dynamic tps battle system to date and breaks that up with story segments in different ways.

Welcome to the age of Genre Splicing, Tomb Raider is an Action Adventure game, granted it just barely made that description but thats what it is and many other games are switching and merging genre's too. It doesn't make a game worse, atleast it didn't make this specific game worse.

The Backtracking was optional if you wanted to scavenge for certain collectables, you can playthrough the game just fine only moving foward.

You're right though, its platforming was mediocre, but it was reliable and consistant.... Cant say the same for any of the Uncharted games.

Dynamic Battle System ? You mean the one that repeats its self over and over and has little to no variation, thats what dyamic means ? Oh okay then...
