Poll Who is the worst peice of shit in the world? (101 votes)

Activision 29%
Ubisoft 7%
EA 64%

My friends, generally when people bring up companies they have a deep disliking for due to business practices these more or less tend to be the big three brought up again again. But we must find out, who is the worst of the worst? The megatron of cunts?

EA, because of their silly Microsoft partnership, meanwhile trying to kiss the ass of Sony fans

Ubisoft. They killed all my beloved franchises. I literally can't think of any Ubisoft game worth playing that's released in recent times.

None of those, really, though if I had to pick, I guess EA. They are putting as much as they can behind paywalls at the moment, a lot more than Ubi or Activision.

Say what you want about EA, but their customer service delivers. My product key for Mass Effect(PC) started giving me activation issues, so I contacted their reps. Note that this copy was purchased before the time of Origin. Instead of just renewing the key, they gave me a new one and added the game to my Origin account - no charge. I don't agree with what a lot of those companies do, but I wouldn't regard them as a POS.

EA without even a shred of doubt.

It says a lot that even after all the shit MS tried to pull this year, EA is still a serious contender for Worst Company of 2013.

Agreed, when my disc copy of BF2142 developed a crack from normal use years back, I wrote to them about it and they simply shipped me a whole new boxed copy of it free of charge a few days later thanking me for still being a fan.

Activision. The Call of Duty craze last gen destroyed developers world-wide, putting them out of business due to the popularity of the annual rehash franchise known as Call of Duty. It flooded and saturated the industry with casual fps games and copy-cat clones, and drowned out original and new IPs and other genres.

Activision and their games are the worst thing to happen to the game industry in a very long time.

Activision is and community needs wake up and stop hating on ea so much. cod sucks due to being rushed developed and clearly needs other studio for a 3 year cycle. pretty much every other Activision game sucks.

I'd definitely have to say EA. They completely destroyed many, many development studios. They monopolized the NFL football games for over 10 years now and they just destroyed the NBA Live franchise after putting it on the back burner for 3 years. Releasing the unfinished and untested SimCity with broken servers and broken game.

Peter Moore sounds a little sarcastic about their "Worse Company" award, doesn't he. I remember meeting him for the first time when he was working for SEGA and the Dreamcast was about to be released. He showed us NFL 2K for the first time. He was great back then, but it seems like EA has assimilated him into their collective. lol!! Poor Peter.

That's subjective. They could have renewed my key for 10 more activations or whatever, but instead they made accessing the game more convenient and went beyond what I expected. @_Matt_ mentioned that they sent him a whole new copy of a game. Was I entitled to a new product key? Was he entitled to a whole new copy of a game? No, but EA did it anyway. Like any company out there, they do things I don't agree with, but I wouldn't lob them in the same barrel as some of the worst companies out there.

MS for me as they ruined titles and studios closer to me. We all know the deal with Rare, Rise of Nations was panned and Age of Empires was shoehorned into a stupid F2P model and pretty much killed as a respectable series with only a poor attempt at a HD remake to compensate.

I wouldn't mind a new flight sim too but that looks like a pipe dream now.

The consumerist didn't pick the winner. The people did, and from a consumer perspective, EA just might be the worst.

Oh yeah you're right. But I think it's commentary on the consumerist allowing their poll to be spammed by 4chan/reddit/etc to push EA to number 1, because it's kind of hard to compare EA to companies that did real damage like Exxon and BoA

Hahaha both of those fake letters really hit the nail on the head. Anyway I voted Ubisoft because they had a great game ready to launch but held it back 6 months for no reason at all, plus AC franchise just keeps on going for some reason.

I guess people are really happy to buy the same crap over and over again.

Not really.

The Steam comparison is retarded. Yeah, Steam requires an internet connection...it's on a fucking PC after all. Not a game console like XBone.

So basically, that "always online" bullshit would've FORCED you to not only have internet access in your home to play your XBone, but also would've FORCED you to be an XBOX Live subscriber even if you have no interest in online gaming. It was just a blatant money grabbing attempt by Microsoft, period.

And people are upset that they changed this silly ass, money grubbing policy?

LOL...okay.

And the Kinnect camera is just creepy as hell. Microsoft says they don't want to spy on me? Alright, so why the hell are they so dead set on not letting me turn the fucking thing off?

They all are in their kind of way.

Also, calling EA the worst company in the US is just garbage. What about all those banks who made countless Americans bankrupt and caused the world economic crisis?

But yeah, I gotta give Peter Moore credit for coming out and saying EA makes shit games.

As for EA being voted worst company, I believe that letter speaks volumes.

Out of those three options, I will go with EA for what they did to the Madden franchise and how they rush other franchises out of the door screwing over us. But honestly, the worst piece of shit in the world is either Eskom, Westboro Baptist Church, ExxonMobil, Koch Industries, or Bank of America

I don't believe what they do is chemical engineering. It falls under biotechnology/transgenics. And what is so awful about what they do?

Where's your proof?

Also if they are "Perfectly Safe"

Why were there protests earlier this year? In more than one country?
