Microsoft will stick with the Xbox brand. Sony may be considering letting the Playstation name rest in peace and just go "Sony Orbis" or something like that. The Vita is technically named the "Playstation Vita", but they may drop the Playstation word from that device too... If they manage to keep it alive, that is.

Yes.

The subject of the thread is left ambiguous in this case, whereas GGM's topic titles make quite clear the brain-numbing inanity to be found within.

I have already thought out great and original names for all future Microsoft consoles:

Super Xbox

Xbox64

Xcube

Wbox

WboxU

Im positive PS4 will NOT be called PS4 because:

• PSVita wasnt called PSP2
• Japan dont like the number 4 because 4 in Japan means "Death"
• Sony will call it PlayStation with something related to life ( similar to the Vita )

I hope the nextbox is the 720 just so we can hear rumors of the 1440 for years to come.

Really though, for Sony I think PS4 is the safest bet. No confusion whatsoever.
