Monitors are the best for low input lag thus great for gaming.

Currently use a Asus VE248H for PC gaming primarily and console gaming when i'm doing online multiplayer or such. (Console is usually connected to a 40 inch flatscreen for casual gaming.)

console - 1920x1080 sony 32 inch ccfl backlit lcd tv, 60 hz. 4x hdmi inputs. not expensive, people compliment the picture quality. i'm happy with it, no plans to upgrade.

pc - 1920x1080 AOC monitor, 24 inch. 144 Hz refresh, displayport hdmi dvi-d. cheapest 144 fps monitor i could get, and quite possibly one of the single greatest purchases i've ever made in my life - love it every day.

both are just TN panels iirc. also the pc is plugged into the TV so i can couch game if i want to.

I use one of those giant fucking tube T.V.s with the wooden enclosure to make it look like a piece of furniture.

That and a 40" Vizio and a 47" RCA.

Don't laugh.

21" FHD AOC. 40" FHD Sony Bravia. Both on my PC. Honestly, both were the cheapest I could find when I was buying, not much of a videophile, just got lucky on the TV. :P

I run a 3 monitor setup 5760x1080. Probably the only one here that does so. I noticed no one else does on the pc board.

@SolidGame_basic:

That TV has some of the worst viewing angles I've seen.

Is still a good entry level TV, and the input lag is decent.

I also run a 5760x1080p setup, three Asus VX238H. I love your wallpaper, where did you get it from? I want it.

For my console gaming I have a Sony Bravia 55 inch HX750 400hz Motionflow.

I also have Samsung 37inch in the spare room for no good reason.

I use a 55" Sony Bravia on my ps3 and a 60" Sharp for my ps4/xbox360 set up through the surround sound. Both 1080p. I use the ps3 as my entertainment hub on one floor and my gaming man cave area gets the surround sound.

@sailor232: That Sony is a slick tv.

Sony Tvs this year are made with some kind of special magic. By far the best gaming tvs on the market. Excellent image quality and incredible response times.

Though I can't handle lcd so I am using a Samsung 60f8500 plasma as my tv.

I got a 32in 1080p Sony Bravia. The brightness isnt the best, but the overall quality is very nice. 60HZ, but appears much smoother. II use it for everything. PC, 360, and PS3.

That plasma looks awesome, s-voice seems interesting.

That is the reason. When I was growing up, they were the BLUE CHIP of TVs. Now? Not so much, but it hasn't sunk in yet.

My Consoles are hooked up to a 70" Sharp "Led tv" then the PS3 and 360 are on a 46" led while all retro consoles are hooked up to a 60" projection crt TV. I wouldn't do it any any other way. PC is at 1440p 60hz. Higher frames coming soon.

Had a nice panasonic plasma before it died. Best kinds of tvs for modern games. Right now I've got a 32inch Sony KDL -- most accurate colors I've ever seen on a non plasma. Sony probably produces the best sets outside of when samsung and panasonic were still doing plasma.

Other than that a 32inch JVC for older consoles. I forgot how much CRT trumps modern display tech. Games play differently.

pc - nearly 8 year old 24 inch 1920x1200 lcd. its amazing how monitors havent really advanced at all in the last 8 years other than 4k resolution. i want a new monitor but cant seem to find anything that justifies upgrading. maybe when quality ips/pls panels get gsync and >60 refresh rates
