@ConanTheStoner: Ha ha ha. I just came here to say the exact same thing. I'm glad somebody beat me to it, though.

probably 2 overall

3 has some really cheap regular enemies but the bosses are kinda easy except nameless king and maybe the final boss. Those are the only 2 that gave me trouble.

I've have finished the dlc of 2.

I found the first much harder than the 3rd. Probably because I wasn't a Knight in the first. Knight seems to be pretty much the easy mode in the 3rd game.

Yeah, it's the first one you ever choose to play. The rest feel a bit easier when you've already learned the mechanics.

I'd say Dark Souls 2 is the hardest, or maybe the most irritating, because of the decreasing health system. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone as a first Souls game.

Bloodborne is fun and maybe a bit more challenging because of the faster pacing, and the fact that you don't have shields so you could tank forward. You need to rely on timed evasions only. The faster pacing carried over to DS3 too, except that the shields are an option in that one.

Dark Souls 2 was definitely the easiest (enemies stop respawning, life rings that nullify death, fast travel from the beginning, life gem candy, warp out of danger at any moment, etc).

I played all the 'Souls games in order. Demon's Souls was really hard, at least partially because it was my first. But I found that DS1 was a bit harder. DS2 was super easy and BB turned up the difficulty. DS3 was also pretty easy but not the cakewalk that DS2 was.

Ranked in order from hardest to easiest:

Dark Souls

Demon's Souls

Bloodborne

Dark Souls 3

Dark Souls 2

DS3 DLC is about to drop, so we'll see what's up in that.

However, it's what many others have said; the first one you play is the hardest.

Iunno, I think predicting the monsters attacks is much easier in MH than predicting the lots of different enemies attacks in the Souls games. Especially since you fight the same monsters like 50 times in MH. I just don't find it very hard. I basically solo'd MH4. With other people it's even easier since the monsters doesn't attack you all the time. Plus you have a crapload of items to help you, and you have Palico companions to take hits for you. In the Souls games you have to know lots of different enemies attack patterns, you don't get any hints about anything basically, you can go to the wrong place and die like a bitch since you're not supposed to be there yet, you can fall to your doom in narrow places, you get attacked by some invading player in the middle of a fight with enemies, you actually loose important stuff by dying.. just to name a few things.

The first one you play is the right answer. But i've also fund DkS2 to be pretty challenging (pre pve nerfs) on the first PT compared to other Soulsborne games. Adaptability was the reason, tho.

Ah OK - fair enough. I think personally think MH was harder in 2004 than Dark Souls was in 2011.

Dark Souls if you play it for the first time without any guide. The game is pretty vague.

Hardest thing I am encountering is wanting to play any of them anymore. Just lost my mojo when it comes to them.

I see. I wouldn't know since I started with MH3:U. Then I was sold. :P

I do think it's getting slightly stale now though with Generations. They need some more new monsters, imo. But I've got a lot of the game left, it might get better later..

yup, I never finished the first game, by the time I got into the swing of things with Dark Souls 2, Dark Souls 3 was a breeze, it's an acquired taste but once you know how to play the games, what to expect, how the leveling and stats work, it becomes a lot easier to play
