I know this topic may have popped up before but the reason why I created it was because I played Journey few days ago and I was captivated by its AMAZING soundtrack.

Some of the remixes in Brawl were so badass.

I loved the Route 1 remix from Pokémon Red/Blue.

  • Halo: ODST
  • Deus EX: HR
  • Bastion
  • Mass Effect 3
  • Dust: An Elysian Tail
  • And Axel & Pixel has a great soundtrack if anyone here's played it (unlikely).

Hotline Miami, for Neon's sake.

#11 Posted by balfe1990 (6747 posts) -

Why is this Neon character so famous?

Totally unremarkable troll yet everyone talks about him like he was some sort living legend/man of the people/jesus.

I'll just pretend FFX and SotN came out this gen and say those.

Nah, probably Hotline Miami.  Lots of greats osts this gen, but that one stuck out the most imo.

Both Galaxy titles have stellar tracks.  Not just well made music, but they fit each area so perfectly.

... buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut I still have to go with Hotline Miami.  The game just overflows with styIe and the music is a huge reason why.

Lots. Personally - Hotline Miami Bionic Commando Rearmed take your pick.
#33 Posted by bulby_g (1116 posts) -

fallout 3, hands down.  Guess it's a slight cheat mind as it's not an original soundtrack. :P

Hotline Miami.

Witcher 2
Deus Ex
Blazblue

I don't want to sound like Shake here, but Nier had by far one of the best this gen. It harkens back to the days when each tune set the mood for each area, and were all extremely memorable (i.e. if you listen to the track by itself, you can identify exactly where in the game it was used).
#37 Posted by parkurtommo (27055 posts) -

Journey and Assasin's Creed Brotherhood and Revelations are the only ones that match my taste in music to a certain extent.

#38 Posted by TheGuardian03 (21724 posts) -
so many, but Nier, MGR, Dragon's Dogma, MGS 4, UC2, Deus Ex, the witcher 2, and many more.

Damnit...this is why it's impossible to choose just one.

First one to instantly come to my head is Skyrim.

Everytime you level up in that game an orchestral number is played.

#45 Posted by krisroe_213 (874 posts) -

Deus Ex, ME 1 & Hotline Miami

#46 Posted by jg4xchamp (48121 posts) -

Hotline Miami=not for neon, he likes nonsense, this is just an exception.

Journey is pretty good, Mario Galaxy 2 and SSF4 were tight, Bayonetta, ODST, Pacman Championship DX

#47 Posted by onewiththegame (4247 posts) -
Ni No Kuni for me the music in that game is amazing
