Which Consoles do the people around you own?

This is a bit of a different thread that might be interesting. We all know that the PS4 is dominating the console market right now, but how does the console war look like in your immediate physical surroundings? Which current gen consoles are your group of acquaintances choosing? Does it reflect the overall sales?

Off the top of my head right now:

Work acquaintance 1: Xbox One

Friend 1: PS4

Friend 2: Wii U

Friend 3: Xbox One

Friend 4: Xbox One

Friend 5: Xbox One, PS4

Friend 6: PS4

Cousin: Wii U (I have no Idea why he has a Wii U. The PS4 is far more his console especially since he bought the Wii U right around when Bloodborne came out. He's a huge Souls fan)

Brother: Wii U, PS4, Xbox One

Me: Wii U, PS4

The rest of the people I know of haven't jumped on the new generation or own a PC and don't care. A lot of people hopped on to Xbox One surprisingly at the beginning. It did have a better first year than PS4 in terms of games so I guess that spoke to people more here.. I guess that negative publicity at the system's reveal didn't phase most people around me.

I own a PS4, XB1, and Wii U. Off the top of my head, here are the totals for my friends of who owns what:

XB1: 2

PS4: 3

Wii U: 7

Three people own a Wii U, everyone else owns a PS4. One guy owns an Xbox One.

Everyone owns a goddamn 3DS.

I have everything.

Consoles: 5 friends have a PS4 only (one had a PS3 while the other a PS2), 2 have a Wii U and PC (one had a Gamecube), 1 has a Wii only, 1 has a PS4 and Wii U, 1 acquaintance has a PS4 only.

Handhelds: 2 friends have the 2DS, 13 friends have the 3DS/3DS XL, my sister has a 3DS

I have a Wii U, PS4, 3DS XL, and Vita

3 friends/relatives with PS4's

4 friends/relatives with Xbox One

I surround myself with Xbox owners. If I meet a Ps4 owner I screw his wife/girlfriend and then block him on Facebook.

Me : PS1, 2, 3, 4, X360, Wii, GC, N64, Xbox, DS lite, DSi XL, 3DS XL, N3DSXL, GBA, PSP

I only know one guy who even plays video games at all and he just has a ps3 and probably only plays it once a week.

My brother has a Wii U, 3DS, and PS4. He is wanting Xbox One now, i make fun of him, he was 360 fan, but jumped to PS4. Not bad though, but he jokes about it.

Sister has a 2 3DS XLs.

I own 3DS XL and Wii U.

I have a 1 friend who owns Wii U, then i have 2 friends that havnt went to next gen yet, they wont be getting a Wii U though, but im not sure what they will get, they play CoD, Counter Strike, etc. They have became hardcore PC people now.

I have 2 friends that might get Wii U, but wont be anytime soon, they are casual Nintendo fans, one is waiting on Xenoblade, me and him loved it on Wii. the other friend only bought one cause we all three played Monster Hunter and stuff, but both play MMOs and Nintendo on the side. They also raid my games, they are bums.

I know at least 43 people with a 3ds. Some have 2.

Everyone has a laptop and at lest 20 of the people I know who game play dota, lol, or heartstone.

How do i put this?

No one i know even thinks of getting the Xbone , but they are pushing me to get a better PC /i want a PS4/

That's in my close circle of friends and family.

My friends from Finland/Sweeden/Norway are split 40/60 with the Xbone/PS4

No one i know doesn't have a PC.

Lets face it , MS lost Europe early this time around.

mostly pc or ps4, we all agree that xbone is a piece of garbage.

The majority own PS4. But some have both X1 and PS4 or all 3 including Wii U.

So X1 is usually a secondary console, and WiiU is a distant 3rd.

My friends only have 360's, PS3's, and retro consoles. My bro has a 360, Wii U, 3DS, and of course, his PC.

No one is interested in getting a PS4 or Xbox One since their libraries aren't all that appealing yet.

Mainly the Xbone.

Mainly PS4, a few XB1's and I'm the only one I know of out of my close friends who has a Wii U, 3DS and Vita. More and more of my friends are turning to PC this gen though.

Mostly Xbones. I only know one person with a PS4, and I'm the only one I know with a Wii U.

Mostly X1 and some have both or all three.

I know a few with an X1 but none of my friends or online gaming friends own a WiiU..

Everyone I know has the WiiU + PS4 combo. Then a few PC gamers here and there.

It's weird, I've never actually seen an Xbone lol. Never have I been this far into a console gen without seeing (and playing) all the primary platforms.

1 has PS4, 6 Xbone, 2 PC and a couple 360s.

Only one of my friends in real life is a real big gamer and he plays on a PC. Other than that my friends have a random scattering of various game consoles. Nobody is really attached to theirs.

None of my friends are truly gamers. A couple of them play games occasionally though, one only owns a ps3(Fifa) and the other owns an Xbox 360(Call Of Duty) and a mid- to high-end PC.

Mostly Nintendo and Sony hardware. Xbox owners are rare birds, though a friend of mine does have a 360.

None of my real life friends play games anymore. My best friend has a PS3, but uses it for Netflix and Blu Rays. Oddly enough, I have 3 neighbors that own Xbones. They all seem to have purchased one for future Gears titles.

My region is completely dominated by PS4s. My brother and I are the only ones who own more than PS4s.

Most own a PS4. Xbox One is catching on, though. None of them own a Wii U that I know of.

Most of the people I know don't even play video games.

The last house we went to (a couple of days ago) has an XBox 360. The kid was playing Skyrim.

Split down the middle between PS4 and X1.

This is the first gen where most everyone I know has coalesced around the same console.

Out of 14 friends/family with an 8th gen console I have 13 with PS4s and 1 (my sister's family) with a WiiU. One of the PS4 owners also has an XB1.

Handheld-wise there are (to the best of my knowledge) 2 3DS and 2 Vitas. Not a big handheld group.

I currently have only have PS4 and Vita. I'm looking to add a WiiU before the end of Summer when I see a killer sale.

I have 2 cousins who own Wii U, and they own multiple 3DSs. My brother owns a 360 and one cousin who bought a PS4 then sold it a month later. He also sold his Vita.

PS4, PS3 and 360. No one that I know wants or own XB1 lol

I have one friend with an PS4, another friend with an Xbone. I'm the only person I know that owns a Wii U. My brother has a New 3DS.

All of my other video game-playing friends still have last gen consoles.

Most of my friends don't game, the few that do own an Xbox One, or they still own last gen systems.

One with PS4. One with gaming PC, but likely both consoles soon. One with like 8 xboxs (he LANS in his man cave). One with just a gaming PC. I have a gaming PC and XBone, likely a PS4 soon.

Growing up, most of my friends had Xboxs, ever since the original. Halo LAN parties were great times from Halo CE through 3.

Out of my close friends/family:

6 own Xbones

5 own PS4s.

2 own both.

I don't know anyone personally aside from myself who owns a Wii U.

i feel terrible cuz i mainly play on ps4 they saw me on there 360 tho or something that i was playing halo on it

As for me. the only people that I know that really play games are my 2 cousins... and one owns a PS4 & the other an Xbone.

A couple of my friends have a PS3, but they don't play much (hence why they still only have a PS3).

One of my best friends owns all current consoles except the Wii U. But his brother is staying there now and he has a Wii U which is hooked up to the living room TV, and he has a sweet gaming rig in his room. They both buy all the major releases, so I can basically play any game I want, and dude owns most legacy consoles too. Unfortunately I only have an Xbox360 at home now, but there are still lots of games on backlog to play through mostly multiplats like the Dead Space games etc.

I think only two or three of the people I hang out with regularly have a PS4. One has an Xbox One. The rest have last gen systems, myself included (have a PS3, alternate between that and PC but I play more on PC now).

Most of the people I know in real life don't really game that much, and even if they do none of them are fanboys in any way. They'll buy the console their favorite games come out on or whatever's cheaper.

I know a few friends who own a XB1 and that's about it other than that my nephews own a PS3 and a 360.
