When will Xbox One get exclusive game with 90 or higher MC?

Wii U achieved it with Super Mario 3D World (93 MC), Bayonetta 2 (91)

PS4 achieved it with Bloodborne (93 MC)

But X1 - when will that happen? Halo 5? Quantum Break? New Conker?

Scalebound is probably the most likely of the two to really do well.

Halo 5 or Quantum Break. I'll be surprised if one of them doesn't get mega high scores across the board. Unless they're both crap, then I won't be surprised.

I rather have 5 decent exclusives that score 80 or higher, than one game finally reaching 90

I don't know, but out of interest, I looked up the 90+ metacritic games for Xbox and PS over the years and here's what I found...

Though it doesn't have to be 90+ metacritic to be a great game. In fact, there are often times where 90+ metacritic games are pretty meh.

Everyone's been slapping cows about exclusives so they need to go all out with this one. I mean, after this, they're back to waiting an entire year for Uncharted 4 if it doesn't get delayed again

Out of those three I think Scalebound has the best chance. Halo will under perform and Quantum Break won't be out before 2020, because Remedy.

Meh people who listen to reviews are silly in the first place. As long as both consoles have solid enjoyable titles I'll be happy. My X1 has had a couple, and now my PS4 has one so far.

Well, at least I gotta give cows credit. Bloodborne is at least a high scoring game that does look worth playing and seemingly deserving of all its praise. Whereas this same "we finally got a great exclusive game" behavior happened last gen with MGS4 and that game was horrible, probably one of the worst, most highly overrated games of last gen.

Lem(lol) me know about when you find out the next AAA exclusive game that has a solid release date for Xbone for 2015.

Nice, this is another perfect example why the averages of Metacritic could be skewed and swayed to the specific game's favor due to the difference of how many reviewers there are. And doesn't really work when comparing different games. Let's use the games listed as examples:

Super Mario 3D World: reviewed so far by 83 critics. 5 sources of which belongs to Nintendo that exclusively review Nintendo games (could be more that belongs to Nintendo, I just quickly counted the ones with Nintendo in the name)

Bayonetta 2: reviewed so far by 80 critics. 6 sources of which belongs to Nintendo that exclusively review Nintendo games (could be more that belongs to Nintendo, I just quickly counted the ones with Nintendo in the name)

Bloodborne: reviewed so far by 41 critics. 3 sources of which belongs to Playstation that exclusively review Playstation games (could be more that belongs to Playstation, I just quickly counted the ones with Playstation in the name)

I can almost guarantee you more sources that belongs to Playstation will review Bloodborne and that will continue to sway and skew the averages even more as expected, you'll see, I'll probably even update this as soon as we get 80 critics reviewing the game. And when you really look into the critics that reviews these games, some of them are defunct and doesn't exist anymore like Joystiq and some of them are so unknown and unheard of. So you could either be critical and criticize these shoddy critics, or you could do what some fanboys in SW do, and that's just run blindly with what Metacritic displays. Metacritic is a good source to use to research games you're interested in, but when you try to compare games for each system, it just doesn't work and isn't a clear representation of what the system has to offer.

You could even use the same game and compare each version, let's choose something in random, hmm, let's go with Rayman Legends which is available for almost every system. Wii U version got 92, Xbox One version got 91, PS4 version got 90, and PC version got 89. So you're telling me the Wii U version is the definitive version? No, it just shows that the number of reviewers will sway and skew the averages. So yes Metacritic is a good source to research games you're interested in but it just never work when comparing games for different systems, and it isn't a clear representation of what the system has to offer.

Lets not forget that the Playstation brand of gaming systems started in 1994 whereas the Xbox brand didn't hit until 2001!!! 7 years is a lot of time to make games!!!

@misterpmedia: Never said anything about the xbone, but i don't have many expectations about the console getting a 90+MC. Besides Halo, Gears and Forza, MS never had any. I guess there was Mass Effect, but we know what happened with that.

Regardless, my point does stand. Besides Persona 5, which isn't a ps4 exclusive, there aren't any exclusive games coming for a whole year that seem to have the chance of getting 90+ MC either.

I decided to take a chance and visit Gamespot tonight. I sort of thought that since Bloodborne came out today, all of the 'Core Cows would actually be playing the game instead of on here creating, and replying to stupid threads. Oh well....

The actual difference isn't as great as it first appears. Given the time difference between Playstation release (December 1994) and the Xbox release (November 2001)

The Playstation brand has 1.85 exclusives scoring 90 or higher per year

Xbox brand has 0.9 exclusives scoring 90 or higher per year

What this shows me, more than anything else, is the lack of value from both console brands, especially when the biggest pro. argument for both is high quality exclusives.

You know who uses MC to gloat......... Cows because they know there are more Sony fanboy lickers on MC that would give higher scores to Sony exclusive games.

Finally a PS4 game to get a 9 on Gamespot something that happen long ago on the Xbox One.

but where is your solid library of games, not just 1 niche JRPG.

Uncharted 4 is guaranteed 90+ too, especially with the delay. Can't think of any upcoming xbox games that have a guaranteed 90+.

Rise of the Tomb Raider, Forza 6, Below, Inside, Scalebound, and hopefully 343i can get some of that bungie magic for Halo 5.

@xhawk27: Naughty Dogs recent track recordv- 96, 91, 95 - is what makes me believe a 90+ is guaranteed for uc 4. The latest Forza games have been in the 80s, same with Tomb Raider and Halo 4. In regards to the other games, we have little knowledge about them so can't really say what score they will probably get.

Scalebound is the only thing that will probably have a shot.
