When will PS4 get any exclusives to justify its purchase?

I am so glad I spent PS4 pre-order money on a new set of pipes for my bike!

So, when can we expect "system-selling exclusives" for the PS4? Mid 2014? Christmas 2014?

Agreed. Though a slightly more specific prediction might be whenever Naughty Dog decides to release their next game. Weather it be Uncharted 4, Last of Us 2, or the rumored space theme game they're working. Regardless it's going to take both systems at least a year or two to build up a decent library, never mind an exclusive library. I don't think the PS3 really had that until 2009 or 2010. 360 on the other hand peaked early. It's like they got their market share and figured they could just coast the rest of the way in terms of first party support.

You'll never have any game exclusive for the PS4 satisfy you because it'll have the PS4 logo on it ;)

Not sure when The Order is coming out but that game looks spectacular.

In all honesty? November of next year. I know there has been some hype on Drive Club but the game looks like shit and plays worse. Infamous Second Son should be good but it isn't gonna be a game that will make people buy a new console right before summer.
They should of saved The Last of Us for the PS4 launch or at least made it on both the PS3 and PS4.

It was hyped AA, Shadowflopped here and on metacritics.

Infamous Second Son in February. DriveClub afterwards. PlayStation has always been about having a lineup of exclusives and not 1 major exclusive.

There isn´t a single thing worthwhile so far,and same goes for the xbone.

Ya just wait a year or so then i'm sure there will be some games on here worth it. But as for xbox i don't really see anything, Halo has no reason to exist now, every fps out there has everything Halo can offer. So pretty much the ps4 is the safe way to go this gen and it doesnt have a creepy spy cam built into it to watch you play games naked

I think those justify the system on its own. There are others that justify the console purchase as well, but it's funny that it seems like the shoe is on the other foot for the time being. I'm getting my PS4 for current gen multiplats with better graphics, but when it comes to exclusives, I don't think it'll take 2 years.

Honestly, Sony can't really afford two years. Gamers are excited about the PS4 now, but if it's exclusives don't do well and the X1's do, then consumers will quickly change their fickle little minds.

I'd imagine some will come out next year. Sony does have first party devs. I don't see why anyone buys at launch. Costs more, not many games, and there will be some issues that need fixed. I let the early adopters be guinea pigs so to speak.

No one exclusive can justify a purchase of a $400 machine. As big of a Killzone fan I am I started to realize that earlier this week and cancelled my pre-order. I'll wait until January when all the launch bugs are worked out and Infamous is right on the horizon as well.

Late 2014/ Early 2015 will be around the time the better exclusives will come.

maybe in a year and a half they'll start to show there true potential, ps4 has potential to be great. i personally just atm would just like longer/bigger versions of my current favorite series ratchet and clank maybe a new jak and daxter a new TimeSplitters 4 if anything ill pick up a wii-u. will be much cheaper in that time too but thats only if PS4 completely dissappoints, doubt it tho.

There is no system seller on xbox one,and thinking that Ryse or Dead Rising are system sellers is a joke,hell not even Forza is which is why is pre-selling so bad on xbox one.

I think the first system Sellers to arrive for PS4 will be destiny, not exclusive but it will ship systems. Titanfall and Watchdogs as well. These are all new IP's that you cant get on any other platforms before release. AC4, BF4, Fifa14 and COD are all available on current gen and don't offer a compelling reason to purchase XB1 or PS4.

Ditto. I guess people forget this game releases in a few short months. Regardless, this series has always been well received and is sure to be a strong enough showing to justify a PS4. Looking forward to Driveclub, too.
