I'm going Ps4 and Wii U for consoles, Vita and 3DS for handhelds, iPad for porn. The Wii U and Ps4 will both be new for me this month, I've had both the handhelds since launch and they're both amazeballs.

I can't imagine getting an Xbone, since the 360 let me down so much this gen, but anything could happen.

You?

Already own a 3DS and the paperweight called the Vita.

Next gen, its Wii U. And when the PS4 finally gets some enticing games unlike its completely lackluster launch lineup, i'll get it too.

I plan on getting them all, I just don't know exactly what order I'm getting them in. I'm getting the PS4 first, but I'm not sure if I'll end up with an XB1 or WiiU second. I already have a 3DS...

PS4/3DS/PS VITA

And maybe wii u.

Everything but the Spybox ONe.

PC is the only one I can afford for the forseeable future.

Right now the Xbox One looks like the best home console, and the 3DS looks like the best handheld, so either of those would be "next" as of this point in time.

I'm willing to bet, however, that once I can afford to buy something it'll end up being a PC upgrade instead. Still rocking hardware from a few years ago.

PC, and perhaps a PS4 if it turns out alright

#8 Posted by Trail_Mix (2021 posts) -

I don't know.

I'll either get a Wii U and continue my trend of getting a Nintendo console first every new gen. Or I'll just stick with getting a PS4 whenever Destiny is released.

#9 Posted by silversix_ (13396 posts) -

Only ps4 and pc of course. I really want a Vita but not a single game interest me and not even one on the horizon i'd want to try. Its really sad cuz Vita looks cool

Wii U eventually. Dont know between the X1 and PS4

#11 Posted by Ballroompirate (21421 posts) -

Gonna go Wii-U (once X,Bayonetta 2 and the new Zelda come out),PS4 (have no idea when I'm gonna get a PS4, it will however be the first next gen console I get), PC (neeed to upgrade my CPU and GPU) and 3DS (already have)

I will build a gaming desktop computer, so PC.

PS4 will be my first console purchase of this generation.

I might get a 3DS for Phoenix Wright and some other games. I did not get a Nintendo console last gen, so I would miss out again if I do not get a Wii U. It is backwards compatible with the original Wii which makes that two consoles in one like the Wii is. I cannot play Gamecube discs on the Wii U, so I might get a Wii anyway since they are cheap now and play Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime, and Zelda along with any games I did not get during the sixth gen.

The Xbox One is interesting because of exclusives, but I need to see them first. Xbox Live could be good. It could also be bad. I will leave it at that.

I am not yet interested enough in a Steam Machine to buy one. It already has a huge library, but I have a PC already. Do I need one to experience something I cannot on that?

Sony is going to have to really impress me with the PS Vita after being an early buyer of the PSP and two of them not working anymore because of the durability of its parts.

Also, I have a tablet. I have not played any games on it, though.

The Ouya 2.0 and other less popular consoles are not what I am looking for in a gaming experience.

It's looking like all of them.

In this order ------>

PC, WiiU, PS4, Xbox One.

Gaming PC for the majority of games. A PS4 for a few other games.

#15 Edited by Zophar87 (4331 posts) -

I currently have a PC, Wii U, 3DS XL.

I'll have a PS4 at launch.

Importing a PS Vita Slim from Japan very soon.

Will get an Xbox 720p after the price has dropped considerably or when there's a plethora of games that I want to play. All this is assuming they don't reinstate their restrictions.

#16 Posted by nethernova (4033 posts) -

All of course. I'm a gamer. I still have a backlog that would last me for years to come but I want the new systems anyway. I just want to be able to play any games that come out and catch my interest. Already own a Vita, will get the PS4 at launch, not sure about the order of the rest yet. Probably Wii U, then upgrading my PC, XBox One and the 3DS is definitely last on my list.

PS4 @ launch.

Then xbox after a price drop, so i can get forza 5. if there was no forza, i would not even consider the xbox.

Right now though, my pc project is still underway.

Going to be a busy year.

#18 Edited by Slashkice (12970 posts) -

I already have a Vita, 3DS, and a PC that's good enough to play what I want. I'll be getting a PS4 next followed by the Wii U next year. Currently have no interest in getting the XO.

#19 Posted by SuperCowElitist (730 posts) -

I already have the kidding system wiiu and I'm not proud of it, it was a gift from a friend.

PS4 will be the game system I purchase with my own money, because I'm proud to give my money to Sony.

#20 Edited by ShadowDoubt (32 posts) -

Vita/2DS and a I'll play a PS4 vicariously through others.

#21 Posted by hrt_rulz01 (5382 posts) -

PS4 will be my main console. No plans to get anything else at this stage but never say never.

#22 Posted by Gaming-Planet (13681 posts) -

2014 is the year of PS4 and Wii U games.

2015 Year of PC games

2016 Year of mobile games

2017 Xbox One becomes the next Sega Dreamcast.

#23 Edited by tubbyc (3637 posts) -

I've got a PC, Vita just recently, and 3DS. I'm planning to play the Vita more than 3DS from now on, but they'll be mainly for holidays.

Will get a PS4 eventually.

#24 Edited by Caseytappy (2108 posts) -

PS4 somewhere in the next months when enough good games arrive that warrant the purchase and it's clear that the thing is reliable .

Wii-U probably when it's cheap for Mario land .

Can't see me buying an Bone anywhere in the future .

I play a lot of 90's Japanese Jamma games on my Arcade machines and that will always stay as important as any new console.

#25 Posted by CTR360 (6824 posts) -

2014 PS4 2015 i hope XBOX ONE i dont care for curent gen console wii-u

#26 Edited by Muffin2020 (527 posts) -

Going PS4 a month or so after launch.

High end gaming PC around this time next year or when Ocular Rift launches

Already own a Vita and I'll also hang on to my PS3 for Dark souls 2 and all the PSN+ games.

#27 Posted by Netret0120 (1852 posts) -

PS4

i don't have time to own other systems. Heck i can only play a few games a year

#28 Posted by bulby_g (973 posts) -

PC/WIi U/3DS for now. I may well pick up the PS4 and Vita later if loads of exclusive games I want release. Hell, I may well pick up the Xbone if it gets some exclusives I want too. Currently has better games announced than PS4 (not enough to make me want one mind).

#29 Edited by trugs26 (5076 posts) -

Wii U and 3DS.

#30 Posted by starwolf474 (373 posts) -

I hate to miss out on anything, so I will own all of them. I already have the Wii U, I got the Xbox One pre-ordered, and I will buy a PS4 as soon as a must have exclusive is released for it.

#31 Posted by PrincessGomez92 (3196 posts) -

I want the Wii U, 3DS, and Vita.

#32 Posted by HaibaneRenmei (262 posts) -

Got the PS4 and X1 pre-ordered.... but I did it at the same time, so I think Amazon is going to wait until the X1 release and ship them both in one huge box.....dammit

#33 Posted by adamosmaki (9336 posts) -

My pc and a console down the road when there are enough exclusives and prices go down a bit

#34 Posted by -Unreal- (24474 posts) -

Windows PC.

Then when Steam OS comes out, a Steam OS PC. With Windows as backup.

#35 Edited by Gesyma (1030 posts) -

Already have a WiiU and have my PS4 paid off, may pick up an XboxOne when/if they remove the kinect... otherwise that's a dealbreaker for me.

#36 Posted by XxR3m1xInHDn3D (1967 posts) -

I will likely own the XBox One and PS4 late on in the gen but a few games could change that but they will have to be great

#37 Edited by Snugenz (11355 posts) -

Already got a PC and WiiU and knowing me i'll most likely have a PS4 and X1 sometime in the future.

#38 Edited by PurpleMan5000 (6534 posts) -

I already have a PC, WiiU, 3DS, and Vita. I might upgrade to a 3DS XL. Other than that, I don't think I'm getting anything else.

#39 Edited by LegatoSkyheart (24083 posts) -

Need to upgrade my PC specs for it to play Next Gen Games, though I think I can manage.

I already have WiiU, 3DS, and Vita.

PS4 I'm waiting for a Final Fantasy XV bundle.

Xbox One I'm waiting for a Price Drop.

Probably will not pay for PS+ or Live on either when/if I get them.

#40 Posted by GhoX (4650 posts) -

Already have PC and 3DS. I may get a Vita if some more good exclusives are released/localised.

PS4 and XboxOne have nothing which attract me thus far, except the PS4 controller which I want to use with PS3. I'll probably get neither, one or both of them later in the gen when more exclusives are lined up.

#41 Edited by HadOne2Many (1145 posts) -

Xbox One at launch because I actually like all of the features you folks hate, plus Forza 5.

I'll probably get a PS4, but not until at least two or three exclusive games I really want to play are out for it, maybe not until there's a price drop even.

I don't upgrade my computers because I buy laptops and All-In-One PCs, so the minute my Xbox One arrives it will be the most powerful gaming machine in my house. All I play on PC is multiplats anyway.

For handheld I have my Galaxy S4 and a Nexus 7.

#42 Posted by Heil68 (42443 posts) -

PC/PS4/WiiU and 3DS, maybe Xbone if MS is truly committed to exclusives.

Nah, I play the good games or emulate. PS1, SNES, N64, etc with my PS3 controller and a gameklip. No Angry Birds or Candy Crush for me.

#45 Edited by Some-Mist (5630 posts) -

still my PC... and probably a Wii U. I probably won't buy a "current gen" console for a few years.

#46 Posted by shawn30 (4239 posts) -

I'm picking up a Xbox One, and will likely grab a PS4 when the next Naughty Dog game releases. PS4 games lineup looking really suspect right now. Wait and see on them.

PC for my primary gaming and Wii U for when buddies come over.

This gen PC+PS3. Next gen PC+PS4.

Console wise, I don't know.

Looks like it's going to be pretty bad for at least a year. I'll just wait it out and see who sucks less.
