What's your favorite 3DS game so far?

I was playing A Link Between Worlds, and it struck me that if it keeps this quality up, it will dethrone Fire Emblem to become my all time favorite 3DS game (which itself had to push past Mario 3D Land and Kid Icarus Uprising).

There's simply so much incredible games on this handheld... which games are your favorite?

Fire Emblem: Awakening

Once again, Nintendo should just focus all of their time and resources to making a handheld that will totally blow your tits off.

It's their market and they totally dominate it.

Everyone besides Nintendo fanboys know that they're the weakest link when it comes to home consoles, but holy sh*t do they know how to make a handheld.

Fire Emblem Awakening, but I still haven't played ALBW...

I am still shocked to this day how people say Fire Emblem Awakening is their favorite 3DS game.

Yeah, I've been saying this for a while. The solution, of course, is the hypothetical Nintendo Hybrid

SM3DLand was just an incredible amount of fun, even if the first 8 worlds were easy.

by a pretty good margin. Not too thigh on the other 3DS stuff I've played(Zelda, Fire Emblem Awakening, Luigi's Mansion, Professor Layton)

Fire Emble Awakening and Pokemon Y is all i got, tough call so i'll go with both lol.

That said, as sad as it may sound, I NEVER played a Zelda game, should I play any others first?Also is this a remake or 3ds exclusive?

Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7 and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D are my top 3. But I still have to play and finish a lot of games. 2013 has been an amazing year for 3DS :D

hard to pin it down to just 1.

animal crossing is great. its a series that really suits handhelds rather than consoles and it shines on the 3DS.

mario 3D land is excellent. the end sequence (for the initial set of worlds at least) is one of the most thrilling chases of have ever played in a video game.

a link between worlds is also excellent so far.

i am also hoping bravely default delivers. bring on next friday.

Can't decide between pokemon, animal crossing, or zelda

Kid Icarus Uprising. It's my favorite handheld game of all time.

Well I have only gotten to play The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, so naturally that is my favorite 3DS game. And yes I am loving it so far, which is weird because I own 5 other Zelda games and they all sucked to me. Although OoT to a lesser extent, but still.

I am about to get the master sword

You do not need to have played any other Zelda and no it is not a remake. It is a whole new Zelda game exclusive to the 3DS.

It's a sequel to A Link to the Past, but it's definitely worth playing as your first, and maybe only, Zelda game.

Uprising or Revelations, I think.

Ocarina of Time 3D or Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance....still need to play a ton of games though on the 3DS

My 3DS playlist so far is Super Mario 3D Land, Legened of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Star Fox 64 3D, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Fire Emblem Awakening, Soul Hackers, Shin Megami Tensei 4, Project X Zone, and currently playing Etrian Odyssey IV. I've gotten but yet to play or finish Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl, Devil Survivor Overclocked, Mario Kart 7, and Rune Factory 4, Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies.

Of the JRPGs I've played, the SMT games like Soul Hackers and SMT4 are among my favorite, and Project X Zone was pretty fun and quite a pleasant surprised. I don't seem to like Fire Emblem Awakening nearly as much as many other people.

Ocarina of Time and Star Fox were each both great remakings of older games for the 3DS, Ocarina of Time really holds up well against the test of time, as does Star Fox and it looks good.

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon was the game I mainly wanted a 3DS for and on that end it was every bit as good as I hoped it would be.

I've been so pleasantly surprised with most the games on the 3DS that I've played it's hard for me to pick a favorite.

I thought nothing would dethrone Fire Emblem for me, but Link Between Worlds is blowing me away. I just can't believe how good it is - I think it's the best Zelda since Link to the Past.

Kid Icarus: Uprising is arguably the best, followed by Pokemon Y. I havent played Zelda yet, and Etrian Odyssey 4 keeps on impressing me so this might change.

Awakening is good, but it felt like a step down in many ways compared to previous Fire Emblem games.

Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D

It's a brand new Zelda game, exclusive to the 3DS, and an excellent entry point into the series for newcomers. It's a sequel to A Link to the Past, but because of the way the Zelda series is structured, you can jump right into it without actually missing out on any of the story.

I tried Monster Hunter once and maybe i'm alone on this but i found it soooo boring, it's the psp one.

Kid Icarus is garbage

I suggest watching a few gameplay videos on Youtube of Kid Icarus before buying it. I was expecting an updated version of the old and it is nothing at all like it. It is a flying/shooting game.

Tales of the Abyss if we are including everything, Fire Emblem: Awakening if we are just going off of exclusives.

Coming from someone who has only really played Ocarina of Time and A Link Between Worlds I would say jump right on in. I would start with Ocarina of Time 3D because I feel like that is the better of the two, and it has a lot more memorable moments. A Link Between Worlds is one of the better games on the system however, so don't neglect that one after you finish Ocarina.

Also, there is a lot of rumors floating around about the sequel to Ocarina of Time (Majora's Mask) being put on the 3DS in the way that Ocarina of Time was, so I would get up to speed for whenever that hits.

Monster Hunter is like it or hate it. If you haven't liked it yet, I'd just let it go.

Kid Icarus is incredible, but try to make sure that you know what you're getting into, it's, erm, eccentric.

While I haven't finished it A Link Between Worlds is pretty damn stellar. No title really rings out as the true winner to me though.

Link Between Worlds just has easter eggs, but that's it.

Having said that, Majora's Mask 3D is a lock for next year.

Do yourself a favor and just play a Link to the Past on the SNES, my personal favorite is OoT but Alttp is no doubt one of the best games ever made (just like OoT of course).

Anyway, my favorite 3DS game is Fire Emblem without any doubt...it did so many things right while keeping the FE feeling intact, i loved the characters and the missions were challenging on the hard setting, sure the stoty wasn't that great, but it has its moments, overall is just a fantastic game with tons of hours of content...now with that being said, i still haven't been able to play ALBW, so i'll discover in 2 weeks if FE is still my favorite 3DS game.

My fav is probably RE: Mercenaries, but I still need to get Fire Emblem and Zelda:LBW.

Wow. I love OoT and GRwtf was it? It was good. Then I got, Batman, now I'm getting Zelda LBW.

Great!Thanks again guys, I'm pumped to get into Zelda's world, having OoT and LBW and probably Majora's Mask like you said available in the 3ds should do the fix, I had the n64 and the gamecube, but exclusive wise all i played was pokemon, mario kart, mario party, super smash bros, f-zero and starfox.

Also, i watched some gameplay from kid icarus uprising and was disappointed, it's indeed an arcade "shooter", was expecting something else.

I'll probably head to the us in the next couple weeks though so i can grab even more 3ds games along with some ps4 ones.

I'm paying 70$ for new 3ds games here, despite money not being a problem a still feel robbed lol.

One last thing guys, one of my all time favorite games was the first Grandia and the second, is there any game like that on the (3)ds? (or ps3)
